Awful experience, unsafe car, poor customer service!

First, while we reserved the larger car for 7 passengers, we received a regular car. This was addressed on the spot, but when we received the substitution, the car had a serious issue that caused me significant inconvenience.

From the moment I started driving, I noticed the tire pressure warning light was on. On the control panel, the tire pressure was 13 psi! As a result, I had to stop 4 or 5 times to pump the tire, minding that we only rented the car for about 12 hours. This was not only time-consuming but also caused me a great deal of stress and worry about the safety of the vehicle. As the car was rented for only 12 hours and I spent 2 or 3 hours finding a service area and stopping to pump the tire, I couldn't enjoy my day off and holiday. This severely impacted my experience and caused delays in my plans. Can you imagine driving a car and constantly worrying if something will happen due to the low tire pressure, like having a serious car accident? Completely unacceptable.

When I reached out to their Customer Success department, they told me as per their T&C, tires are considered the customer's responsibility, due to the nature of road hazards. I have a screenshot proving that I was driving the car for only 15 minutes (from their location to my apartment in Astoria), which is when I stopped to take a picture of the control panel.

Absolute Awful company! Changed the time of my rental then tried to upsell me a car double the price. Smarmy jerk 'helping' me then cancelled my reservation when I complained. Worst company I've ever encountered. NEVER USE THIS TEAM OF RAT THIEVES!!!

Had a great experience!! Shuttle pick up was pretty quick, Shaun helped us at counter and was super friendly and gave excellent customer service!!!! The price was right and the car was clean!! This was our second time using Drivo and we will be sure to be a repeat customer!! Thank you!!

"Would never rent from them again"

It is easily one of the worst experience I have ever had. First of all the location is off site in not so good area. Renting at night is not very assuring. When once you get the shuttle and reach there (~1 hour for newark location - changing terminals, waiting shuttle etc). The price shown online might be less compared to other car rental companies, but they tack on insurance (60$/day) which makes it much more expensive compared to other rental companies. They would not accept the decline of insurance nor insurance purchased from third part aggregators (expedia etc). The car we got had musty smell and had over 50000 miles on it. Definitely not worth the hassle you go through. Workers there were nice, but I would not rent from them once again.
