We had a miserable experience with this company. We booked a Priceline deal where we were told that we would get one of 3 rental companies. We ended up with Drivo / Ace. Our intent was to rent a car in New York and do an “east coast road trip” going as far as Maine.
We were blind sided at the rental counter by their boundary restrictions, which Maine was outside of. We had no choice but to have to accept the up charges for driving there. The counter agent struggled to show us where this “policy” was disclosed in the Priceline listing - having to dive many layers into the fine print. The listing itself was advertised as “unlimited” miles, with no clear mention of a boundary restriction such that any reasonable person would see at the time of booking.
Once we entered Maine, we received harassing text messages threatening to report the vehicle stolen, despite us disclosing that we were going to Maine at the rental counter. These texts were accompanied by emails, serving as a stressful disruption to our vacation.
To add insult to injury - the counter agent tried to upsell us on their insurance, insisting that my State Farm policy did not have collision coverage 🤷♂️. I had to waste time logging into my policy website and pulling up the declaration page while waiting 20 minutes for the agents to “review” it. This was either incompetence or an attempt to bully us into another up charge, either way, unacceptable.
We will never use this company again, and will be disputing any up charges made to our credit card for the boundary restrictions.

I would like to thank the manager at Drivo for refunding my money for a car upgrade I didn't ask for. Beyond this, the service was super fast, easy and convenient. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

Terrible service at Newark NJ, returned car inspected with agent and agreed everything was intact and later to be hit with another claim for damage, no communication or whatsoever. Endless calls with no one ready to pick up and listen. Terrible

Terrible service at jfk. Please beware that they charge $15 for every state you drove across. They didn't tell you in advance of course. And don't get trick into buying tolls. They will tell you it's only $25 unlimited for the entire trip, but they will charge you $25 per day. It's a scam that they have trained their workers to use. Do yourself a favor and go rent your car somewhere else.
