"These people are crooked!"

I rented from Ace, they gave me Drivo. I had previously purchased car rental insurance from Allianz. It was sent over with my reservation from Priceline. Worker Tengiz said he didn't see it and made me purchased their insurance. Upon talking to Priceline they talked to supervisor at Drivo who lied and said I agreed to cancel my original insurance after 6 days to keep Drivo. When I returned car, I told them I had a scratch on right back side and had filed it with Allianz already with the claim number. After this is when Drivo lied and canceled my Allianz. Priceline was in process of getting refunded from Drivo since I had coverage. These people are crooked. I have pictures of the small scratch that I sent. Please put a stop to this elderly abuse from this crooked company.

"I’m working with AARP to have this…"

I’m working with AARP to have this company removed as a booking option through their partnership with Expedia. I don’t know if I’ll be successful but this company should not be in business. When we arrived to pick up our reserved vehicle (LGA/Queens location), there were 2 families ahead of us that said they had been waiting over an hour and that the staff had disappeared. Indeed there was no one at the counter when we arrived. Approximately 10 other families with reservations arrived after us as we all waited. An hour plus later (2 hours plus for the people before us), the staff finally came out and announced that they were out of vehicles and would only honor prepaid reservations. We were all livid. They closed at midnight and it was around 11:50pm. Nobody in line had a prepaid reservation and we all waited until midnight to see if anyone else was going to arrive with a prepaid reservation. Nobody else arrived. And still no vehicles were provided. In short, they were not holding vehicles for prepaid reservations but rather this was just something they told everyone. When I called the corporate office the next day to complain they told me that their information indicated I was late for my reservation and that’s why I was denied a vehicle. I was floored. This is when I sincerely felt this company should not be in business. I was not late for my reservation and never even got to speak with anyone on-site because of the announcement that they didn’t have any vehicles. It’s not like we were an isolated case… They told this to us and about 12 other families. No family should face this kind of risk that I’ve since learned is common practice for this company. I’m sure this is not the type of company that AARP nor Expedia would want their customers to ever experience through a booking from their site.

This company unfortunately has become known for their insurance fraudulent claims. They have an 'F' rating with the Better Business Bureau and have been penalized by the state of New Jersey for their activities.

Bahrom was the best employee at Drivo JFK. He was patient, answered all my questions and concerns. New to this experience and Drivo, he made the experience and transaction seamless, easy and provided expert service. I found a gem in NY. Thanks and kudos to Bahrom!

"My rental car broke down on the way…"

My rental car broke down on the way back from my trip. I was stranded 3 hours away from Jersey and stuck on the highway with speeding cars zipping by. I was told that the earliest they could provide me with another rental was 8 hours later. I had no where to go to wait 8 hours for a ride. A police officer picked up me and my daughter and dumped us at a gas station. People thought we were homeless while we were standing around trying to figure out where we were and what to do. We eventually were able to find a BUDGET rental and drive back. Despite all of this, the next morning, I was charged for the horrible car they gave me. I had to go to the rental location to personally talk to someone. They were apologetic and gave me a full refund but no extra steps were taken to show that they understood the true amount of DISTRESS that I went through with my daughter that day. 2 women stuck in the middle of no where trying to get back to Jersey. It was scary and they did not compensate for me losing a whole day of my vacation because their car left me stranded,

"DO NOT RENT FROM DRIVO- they are NOT…"

DO NOT RENT FROM DRIVO- they are NOT located at the airport And their cars are crappy.
I rented a car and it did not have a proper way to charge an iPhone. Then I had a flat tire within three hours of driving the car. I followed the procedure that was given for roadside assistance, I was told the car was not registered with the company. Then I waited for assistance for 2 hours and no one came. I contacted them again within the 45 min. period, no one answered the phone. I noticed a AAA driver while waiting, he was more than willing to help for $30. As I drove off, someone from roadside assistance called informing me a technician will be there shortly. 15 min. later, I received a call from the driver that he is at the location. When we reported that as we returned it, everyone started talking in their language so we could not understand. They said they did not have a manager on site.I would never recommend them. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

"First trip to NYC"

This was our first trip to NYC.
When booking our trip, we found DRIVO rentacar on Expedia.
The prices were so much lower than the other rental agencies, so this made us feel skeptical in booking.

When we arrived, the shuttle picked us up at LGA within 2 minutes of calling them.
We checked in and received our car (Toyota Camry) in less than 10 mins!
The service at the rental agency, (Shuttle driver, counter, everyone) was amazing!
The drop off was just as easy.

I will highly recommend DRIVO for car rentals.
Great service, Great prices and Great vehicles. (Camry was brand new!)

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM DRIVO / FOX CAR RENTALS ITS A SCAM. I WAS SCHEDULED TO RENT A TOYOTA CAMMRY INSTEAD THRY GAVE ME A
2018NISSAN ALTAMA THAT RAN LIKE S TANK. I WAS ALSO CHARGED $59.94 FOR AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER WHICH THERE WASNT ANYONE ELSE TO DRIVE.
THEN THEY ADDED ANOTHER CHARGE
OF$57.05 FOR FUEL WHEN I RETURNED
THE CAR WITH 3/4 OF S TANK OF GAS,
I ZM DISPUTING THESE CHARGES WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY.
AGAIN DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM
FROM DRIVO/ FOX /ACE OR THERE OTHER AFFILIATED COMPANIES.
