Firstly, I couldn't find my county / city on the website. After sending an email to the support team, they gave me quote but refused to tell me what to select on the website.
Eventually I chose an option that was more than my quote. I chose a date on the website and I got a confirmation (with the date displayed). I took an image of the message with the date clearly visible. I also got an email confirmation that I have paid, but the date was not in the email.
The day before my supposed appointment, I received a letter saying "We can see you have paid, when would you like your appointment?". I phoned immediately, only to be told to send an email. Basically the confirmation of the appointment would not be honoured, even though I had proof, and I received no admission of fault or apology. I was only told over and over again that I needed to send an email.
When I did send and email I was emailed back a date for an appointment, which I reluctantly accepted.
When their representative did come out to my house, they were professional and did a good job. My visa was submitted correctly.

I had my at home appointment on the 5th of January as I plan to travel on the 3rd of February. My appointment was quick and smooth. My documents were thoroughly checked and I was assisted in submitting outstanding ones. I received my visa yesterday (the 17th of January) well before my holidays so I am so happy!!

We paid approx. £400 for their visa service and they cancelled with no notice. When asked why, they first said it was an issue with transport. Then an issue with traffic. Then it was 'an accident on the road'. We offered to go to their offices, or to drop off the application somewhere, they did not acknowledge this question. From their previous reviews (before anyone assumes I'm heartless, I can see that this traffic/accident is a standard excuse they give for their failing service).
They are also late for the next appointment we re-booked with them and they haven't called me back to update me on where the courier is, or if they will even turn up today. I have also emailed them and received no reply.
They have a monopoly on this system because you can't get anymore appointments with BLS as they're booked up for months. The only alternative to get a Schengen visa with Spain is through this incredibly incompetent and inefficient service.
Partner and Express - we took a day off work, and this cost us money. I have lost a day of AL and my husband has lost self-employed income. Will you reimburse us for this?
For today also, you told us you would be here between 9am and 10 am via phone. Then proceeded to say between 9am and 11am via email.
We gave you the benefit of the doubt, despite you being very unhelpful over the phone yesterday. You did not answer our questions, and just read off a script.
It is now after 11am, and you couldn't tell me where this person is when I called - which is concerning, how long it might take them to get to us, or even if they would still be coming.
Will you reimburse us for the waste of today as well? I have asked multiple times over the phone and email, and you have ignored the question.
We don't expect a quicker visa processing time because that isn't what the service is. But for £400 we expect you to at least turn up and take the documents.
UPDATE: They did show up today, thankfully! The person that attended was very nice, helpful, and went through everything bit by bit.
HOWEVER - this does not excuse the reality that we've paid £400 for a service and not received it on the day it was booked for. Plus we've cancelled 2 days of work due to waiting around for people to come this equates to £400 spent on the visa, plus £600 in terms of work lost.
Again Partner and Express - will you be reimbursing us? It's unethical to charge extortionate fees, and run a sub-par service.
UPDATE: It has been 3 full days since my appointment and Partner and Express are declining to answer any of my emails (after sending an initial one that they will be in touch when my documents are submitted). They are not able to tell me where my documents / passport is, and are also not able to tell me if they have been submitted to BLS/the Consulate. The service is supposed to submit them the next working day, but clearly this has not happened.
UPDATE: My documents were not received by BLS until a week later. BLS then continued to contact us to say we had missing documents - this is not true. We had provided savings statements with substantial funds, they said it needs to be current account only (this is not true). They further said we were missing a police letter, where the official information FROM THEIR WEBSITE says you don't need one, and you can provide a copy of biometric passport for the host and further details about them (wait for police letter in Spain was over 2 months). BLS were verbally aggressive on the phone / borderline racist, asking 'do we understand english'. They also suggested we just book a hotel in the absence of a police letter - we declined to do this - as it would be lying to the Spanish authorities.
Our application was then held for even longer due to this backwards and forwards, so we assume we won't get a visa on time for Christmas. We're also £1000 down, with holiday fees like flights on top of this.
