"I had a mixed experience with Glenmore…"
I had a mixed experience with Glenmore Mobility. While the staff were generally helpful and accommodating, communication was sometimes lacking, as highlighted when emails were left unanswered. The delivery and product selection process went smoothly, but improvements in responsiveness would make the overall service better. Glenmore Mobility is decent for specific needs but not flawless.

"Orthopaedic Bed"
I had a knee replacement and hired an orthopaedic bed from Glenmore Mobility Dalry Road, Edinburgh.
The bed arrived on the allocated day and was installed in my downstairs study perfectly. The bed itself was able to raised and lowered electronically with a hand set and was comfortable.
After 5 weeks they returned, dismantled the bed and loaded same into their van. They also then brought our futon bed in from the garage and installed it back into the study.
Both guys were lovely and helpful and I would have no hesitation in using Glenmore again.

"I needed to help a friend with acute…Acute sciatica. "
I needed to help a friend with acute sciatica.
Mobility was difficult and showering was unsafe.
The staff hired me a wheelchair, shower seat and elbow crutches with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.
A fair price with good advice on how to use them. Flexibility about return dates and an ability to extend.
Really could not have been better.

"Excellent advice and customer service"
I hired a riser/recliner chair from Glenmore Mobility for my elderly housebound father. I received excellent advice on the best chair to meet my Dad's requirements. The chair was delivered promptly and set up with minimal disruption. Because of the uncertainty regarding my Dad's situation, Michael and the team have been so helpful with the ongoing hiring process. From my experience, I would highly recommend Glenmore Mobility as I received an excellent and courteous service from everyone I dealt with, and will certainly return in the future if the need arises.

"First time user of walking aid."
I hired a rollator to go on a cruise holiday which was a great help. As a first time user of any aid the professional, efficient and friendly support from staff was very much appreciated. I have since gone on to purchase said rollator and again the service was excellent. Many thanks for making a difficult situation easy.

"What a fool and an idiot I was."
If you are a first time buyer of a mobilaty road scooter do some research. I was told the model of scooter I liked was the top of the range for this scooter. I asked what was the make/model of the scooter? I was told I would get all the details in the post. All the way through the sales talk I kept getting told, you will get the details in the post. If I was told the model I had tested was the Savvy 8 which is not the top of the range, I would have checked it online and found out you can get it for £2395 not the £2995 which I paid for what I was told was the top of the range model. That model is actualy the Savvy 8 plus. With the top of the range for this model being the Savvy 8 plus, the plus version has a range of 34 miles with a 750w motor. The one I got was the savvy 8 which has a range of 28 miles with a 600w motor. £600 I could have saved if I was actualy told what I was buying, MUG. Before any money talk started I was asked by Keith for a £75 non refundable deposit. Keith could see that after I asked him, is it definetly a non refundable deposit he said yes thats right. He could see I was not too happy about this. He then said as a good will gesture we can make it a £50 non refundable deposit. (He later denied this when I confronted him about this) What he forgot to say it is not ileagle to demand a non refundable deposit as you have 14 days to change your mind, but he said to me once I paid the deposit I would never see it again if anything else was to take place. Before all the sales jargon I got from Keith, I had been speaking to a lady called Susan about the difference in the higher price for getting lithium batteries in a road scooter and pointed out that Amazon charge that bit extra, £200 for lithiom batteries and not the led-acid batteries. So all the way throgh Keiths sales talk I was under the impresion I was getting lithiom batteries. I must point out that at no point was I told I was getting lithiom batteries, I was just not told that every time I mentioned about the scooter having them supplied with the model I was getting, I was never corrected or told the batteries were actualy led-acid batteries. When Keith and his enginear delivered the scooter to my home I was asked if I was happy with the scooter? I said I was, but before I sighned anything I think I should just check the scooter to make sure I am sighning for the scooter I thought I was getting. Keith agreed to this and we went to the scooter. I started to open up the body of the scooter to check everything was as I thought I was getting was correct. At this point Keith quickly took control of the screw that holds the body secure and started to tighten it up again. His engineer said you wont need to open that up for at least a couple of years. Keith said we would have to take it all apart, all that is under there is batteries and a motor. If I was allowed to open it up I would have noticed it was lead-acid batteries and not lithium batteries that In my head that was what I was just about to sighn for. We went back in and I sighned for what I thought was a top of the range scooter with lithium bateries in it. Just before they left I was handed the charger. Away the two of them went and when I checked the charger, on it was written charger for lead-acid bataries. Too late to confront them, they were away. I phoned up Glenmore the next day and got through to someone called Micheal. Micheal came out with a great fact which just happens not to be the case. Micheal said there is no difference betwean lithium and led-acid batteries, they are just the same. Not exactly true. A lithium battery will give you three times the life span as a led-acid battery. He then told me mobility road scooters dont use lithium batteries for on the road, its cars that use lithium batteries for road use. That was just after I bought the scooter. I phoned up on the Monday to get in touch with Keith but was told he was on holiday for two weeks. I phoned up citizens advice and they agreed that I had been mislead, they gave me the number for the people who advise you on your consumers rights. They also agreed I was mislead and wrote out and emailed me a letter to send to Glenmore. I never did send it. You never know what might have happened if I had sent it. Maybe it would have turned into the situation were Gorden Haughey Anderson had three guys from Glenmore turn up at his door and in his opinion it was to intimadate him to take his review down. I cant speak for other peoples expierencs, as what Mr Anderson said "we were put through hell" I can only speak for my own. I just wonder if my two year Glencare Gold Plan will still be valid after this has made its way into Keiths inbox or not. As far as that plan is concerned, its written out to a Mr. Young. Im not Mr.Young. Also this company has not got the best filing system, they sent my documents to Mr. Young at my post code but to a street that does not exist there, but similar. The postman got it to me.

"Efficient, expert, friendly"
A family member suffered a broken leg in September. A wheelchair from Glenmore transformed their mobility. The company responded swiftly and professionally to our initial enquiry, and supplied a chair at less than a day's notice. They also supplied a variety of types of leg-supports and foot-rests over the following eight weeks as the fracture slowly healed. The rental rules were also very flexible, allowing us to renew the rental week-by-week until we no longer needed the chair. We would enthusiastically recommend this company - for its equipment, for their technical knowledge, and for the courteous response we always have had from the staff.

"Over the last 18 months I have had to…"
Over the last 18 months I have had to adjust to my changes in mobility and the staff at Glenmore could not have been kinder or more helpful. Now I have a riser recliner that is a godsend; plus my on/off needs of wheelchairs during this summer have all been accommodated with patience and skill. I will be using them again as things change in the future
