"WARNING DO NOT BUY"
I been with this company since 2012. I have made a claim last year the ONLY ONE IN 11 YEARS FOR £500 and the cost of that claim was THEN added to renewal my premium . is extortionate increase. i rang them and was told as i made a claim I can now not lower my premium or indeed increase my access AS I made a claim t SO IM STUCK OVER A BARREL They offered no help as my dogs premium each month is higher then my energy bills. THEYWERE NOT INTERESTED IN MY DOG ONLY THE PREMIUM AND kept blaming the under writers.. basically take out your pet insurance but DONT MAKE
A CLAIM as we will add it to your renewal... after 12 years as a customer making a claim i was basically told i should not of made the claim,,SHOCKING ..SO DO NOT BUY. THEY CONSANLY USE THE DOGS AGE AS AN ARGUMENT FOR INCREASE AND OFFERED NO HELP IN MY STRUGGLE TO PAY...I HAVE NOW CANCELLED AND went with animal friends

"Good company I have insured my 3 boxers with them "
I took out insurance for my boxer puppy when she was only 2:months old and when I received the renewal it was considerably higher than it was and higher than my other two dogs so I was thinking of cancelling it and phoned up pinnacle who are the insurers. The customer service agent was very nice and explained it was because she was a puppy when I took it out that it was so much had risen to £43 a month she suggested cancelling the existing policy and taking out a new one now the puppy was older. As my puppy had no illnesses or concerns I could do this. So I took out a new life policy same conditions for half the price thanks to the customer adviser.

"Be very careful "
Be very careful with the max claim 2k / 5k. (Dog)
Quick to pay out when it suites and easy to deal with which is great. The only reason it’s got two stars.
But wouldn’t pay out in full on the 2nd condition, using what was left from the first claim only. (stating it wasn’t a separate claim) although it was 2 separate accidents / incidents. The 2nd causing his death. (The excuse I was sent) (“When applying a maximum benefit or exclusion, we will
consider bilateral, recurring or related conditions as one condition” and “Recurring means any previous condition or symptom that may come back or is likely to happen to your pet again. For example, this could be repeating episodes of diarrhoea, vomiting or injuries to claws” the decision has been made that these two claims are linked)
He ate two separate foreign body’s (not the same one twice)
If he got knocked over twice would they say it was reoccurring and related because a vehicle was involved so he must be prone to playing with traffic?
I would be able to understand the technicality if this was the 3rd or 4th time as LIKELY TO HAPPEN AGAIN. But not the 2nd!
Even with my vet confirming in writing a report stating these incidents were not linked.
With that I am now left with not only no puppy but also £3,442.80 owing to the vets.
I understand there were claims close together but I would have much rather had my puppy with us and not had to have the family go through this.
I purchased believing this would cover each separate incident / accident which proved not to be the case. After thinking we are going for a good insurance and doing the best for our new dog.
You are better off as my friends have done with a lower monthly cost and larger lump sum provided by others. This insurance sounds great but doesn’t quite do what the title of it suggests.
Especially when you add in the ridiculous vets bills who’s first question before they treat always seems to be how much insurance cover do you have, then proceed to try to max it out.
How ever they did send the money for his death and cremation pretty quickly.
