"Farcical customer service"

I had a problem with a product from KnivesAndTools - and it is not the first time that I have had problems with that company. After I had emailed about the current problem, a week went by. I chased the company. Another week passed. Eventually I received an email that (i) was written in a language that I had not used with the company before, and which I understand only barely, and which (ii) seemed to admit the problem whilst giving me no recompense. Moreover, I was encouraged to respond to the email that I received via a webform and that webform, possibly due to bad translation, did not tell me whether or not the words that I had troubled to type had actually been submitted.
