"Submitted two claims - both in limbo"

Submitted two claims. Garage door opener and A/C unit. The door opener was fully documented, but no feedback from APHW - total cost of repair (out-of-pocket $1225.00) The A/C which was identified as being 20+ years old, leaked the refrigerant and stopped working. The homeowners inspection report identified the unit as working in September 2023. In February, 2024 the unit did not function properly due to no refrigerant. Contractor has is now jumping through hoops to provide additional information. I see the picture now - keep submitting questions that delay any decision regarding coverage.

I would recommend anyone considering APHW to keep on looking elsewhere. The vibes are not good and submitting a review is almost impossible. Must be Democrats running an Opportunity Enterprise.

"Impossible to cancel policy! "

I believe this place is a scam. It's a hassle to get any coverage, they are not transparent in their billing, and it's nearly impossible to actually cancel the membership!

I have called and been on hold for 2 hours without contact, tried the callback option (never received a call back), and emailed my agent and the general help line without response.

I do not recommend ever using this company. I suggest a warranty company that has better apps and contact options.

"Needed to replace an old AC unit"

Needed to replace an old AC unit. The contractor said they dont even make these units any more and APHW wanted the serial number and model number. The unit was so old the numbers faded and could not read them. They even talked to the contractors. The whole reason I purchased the warranty was for my 4 major house items. they gave me $500 for a $5500 unit I had to pay out of pocket . They are a scam. Dont ever buy a warranty from them.

"Horrible service"

It is very difficult to get the money you are owed from them. I recieved a voice mail from them on 4/12/24 saying they would send me a check on claim #30476298. Here it is almost 3 months later and still no check on my claim. They call and email me every week to renew. Why would I ever do that, when they don't pay when you make a claim?

Bought a 550K house and the ac needed work amd then developed a leaked they generously gave us 450 dollars towards our 6500 bill. Company is trash

"Straight up fraud- don't even bother"

APHW stated that they would only pay 200.00
of the 550.00 repair. As I questioned this, the warranty representative stated that 200.00 is the maximum that would be paid for the repair. I looked over my contract and nowhere does it state maximum paid prices or does it have a menu of component repairs and prices. I bought this contract with the assurance that only the deductible would have to be paid upon a given repair. This company is misleading their customers.

"I LOVE APHW!"

I LOVE APHW!! As as new homebuyer, I had several issues. The refrigerator, icemaker, washer and drier. And a few other things. OHMYGOODNESS they took care of everything!! I received back way more than the one-year warranty. I am SO GRATEFUL that I chose this company!! Thank you!!

"You could just throw your money in a river"

I've had a policy with APHW for over ten years and made my first claim today. My HVAC unit nearly caught on fire and they will not cover any part of the repair, labor or parts because it is under a manufacturer's parts-only warranty for two more years. Listen when people tell you not to trust this company, they will find a way not to pay your claim and there's nothing you can do about it.
