"Poor service"

Absolutely horrible experience. No contractor wants to work with this company and the service guy I got charged me high. Company does not approve the entire service amount and we will have to call multiple times to get documents thro. I was not paid bcos the replacements was not done by licensed contractor, but I didn’t use them as they charge high service charges. What a waste of time, not customer friendly…would not recommend to anyone

These people are ridiculous and harass you to call them. Not everyone wants to talk on the phone or has the time to. I had two emergency claims and no I did not call them first because the contractor and myself do not have time to sit on the phone with them for 20 minutes of sales pitch. That's all they are is sales pitches! So, I cancelled my policy because after 3 weeks of harassment I was over it. Needless to say they did not reimburse me on my claims either and even though one of them was approved before I cancelled them they still didn't pay me! The other one the contractor REFUSED to talk to them! Never again will I work with someone like this! I had a heart attack and needed my air conditioner fixed immediately. No sympathy or understanding we needed it fixed and didn't have the strength to deal with them. So now I'm still out almost $500 in claims. APHW sucks!!!!!

I can only say ditto to all of the other scammed customers that got taken with this warranty company. I wish ABC News would do a story about all of the loopholes this company uses to get out of paying claims taking advantage of people who don’t have money to waste on bogus coverage.

"THIS COMPANY DOES NOT REFUND...THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY...STAY AWAY!"

This company does not honor their refund policy. It's been a 3 month battle with the company to get me my refund. Their excuse is "I don't store credit card information so you need to give us your credit card info" but when I explain that my card was replaced with a new one they say "I need a letter from you bank stating the old card was replaced" but what they don't realize is that banks don't store old card information, let alone for them to state they replaced the old one for a new. This company is a total SCAM.

Total scam. Hidden rules and deceitful advertising. Everyone can see your award winning customer service by reading your reviews. I have worked with 3 home warranty companies in the past ten years and they are by far the worst.

"There is no peace of mind provided by this COMPANY"

There is no peace of mind provided by this company. My Water heater went out due to faulty parts. I got a contractor- Roto Rooter called APHW before work began to diagnose the problem. APHW appeared to look for keywords stated by the contractor to avoid taking care of the problem and declined the claim. The joke for me is that the account was up for renewal. So I had to pay my contractor out of pocket and received calls to have the policy updated. NOT!!! Please cancel

They lie, take too long and end up doing nothing. Lame excuses constantly. Go somewhere else

They lied, I never got a refund. I’m filing with the BBB and the Attorney General’s Office.


I could give no stars...I would. I had a busted water pipe and was told that warranty wouldn't cover it...hmmmm. I had a toilet that was leaking so I called out a plumber to fix. The plumber did not take the home warranty which was fine, I figured I'd pay for for it and get reimbursed. AHHHHH no, they said I should have called anyway and had the plumber who didn't take the home warrant explain what the problem was. The plumber outlines the issue in detail on the invoice but this still wasn't good enough. DISCLAIMER...STAY AWAY! I bought a 2 year plan with them, I'm requesting a refund. Choose another company.

I’d leave a negative star if I could! The worst. When your closing on your house they insist you should get this for peace of mind. Had a pipe break lose from the tub and was told it was covered. The plumber comes and gets on the phone and they twist everything he said around to say it’s not covered. He spent an hour trying to get clueless 1 and clueless 2 to understand the anatomy of bathroom piping. How they can do this repeatedly to customers and get away with it is disgusting.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My furnace went out and it was 17 degrees out. I was worried about the pipes freezing and not to mention having to be in a house that was 43 degrees and dropping . I had a contractor out and it was broken wiring in the service switch. Total of $349 to fix. They tell me it is not covered have to go to the manufacturer. The manufacturer tells me APHW has to cover it. APHW refuses to cover it. They hide behind loop holes and fine print to never have to cover anything. They are a scam. Do not use them. EVER
