"Harvey Norman..criminals"

We purchased the "Laptops Perfect for Students" laptop. It was the Acer Aspire 3 14" Laptop - Intel Celeron 4GB-RAM 128GB-SSD (A314-35-C40Y). It is a load of rubbish and not suitable for Students as it is far too flimsy. The screen was damaged within two days. We returned it to Harvey Norman, repairs would cost $500 for parts and $150 for labour. This is criminal, the screen cost more than the entire laptop, and then labour on top! Harvey Norman, you should back your products...a flimsy laptop like this is not "Perfect for Students". You should be ashamed of yourself. You have lost one customer and hopefully many more. You don't deserve to be in buiness with customer support like that.

"WAIWAKAIHO NEW PLYMOUTH BULLYS"

The customer service in the Waiwakaiho Store New Plymouth is good when you're purchasing your items in the phones, computers etc BUT when you bring the item back your met with rude bullying. I was accused of purchasing the item elsewhere and continually over talked. They've invoiced me incorrectly so will not stand by the warranty of the item in future. He was apparently the 2IC of the department. I'll never return

"Blenheim Harvey Norman Customer Service…"

Blenheim Harvey Norman Customer Service is great. Everything we buy from Harvey Norman. My house can be called Hervey Norman. Recently I bought a Pillow- very good pillow was recommended by Luke Ryder who works the department of beds, sheets, Pillow cases and other bedroom necessities. I am enjoying the pillow which I feel my neck is feeling good - My Bambi - $199.00, Symmetry Memory Foam pillow - medium. Thanks goes to Luke Ryder- Blenheim Harvey Norman Store. Thank you.

"Disappointed"

If there was a zero rating, that's what Harvey Norman would get!!
I bought a reclining couch 10 months ago, after 5 months it stopped working. After contacting the manager and several emails later, they refused to fix the problem.
It wasn't until I contacted a lawyer and threatened legal action, did they finally agree to fix it.
5 months of stress!!
Very disappointing as I have shopped at Harvey Norman, Hastings for years, but I will never shop there again after this experience.

"HN Wairau Park saved Christmas!"

Cannot rate the team at Harvey Norman Wairau Park highly enough. Bought an oven back in April which sat in my garage until my renovation was ready for install on the Thursday before Christmas. When I tried to open the oven on the Friday it wouldn’t open. Harvey Norman were amazing - had a technician out to look at it within 2 hours, tried replacement parts, confirmed it as a major fault and an out of box failure and then the Wairau Park team swung into action. They found me a solution with a replacement oven, had it delivered, the faulty one removed and had a sparky round to fit the new one all by 5pm. Outstanding service and they went above and beyond to get me a good price. Thank you so much team!

"Online purchase of computer"

Online purchase of computer, delivery to ChCh. Had to return as I’d ordered the wrong one. Returned unopened and with receipt to Harvey Norman Columbo, who couldnt process the refund, even though it had the receipt and is unopened. Has to be sent all the way back to Ashburton! The lady was lovely, explaining that is their process. So I explained their processes need reviewing and will never purchase from them again.

"Harvey Norman, Faulty Hob"

I purchased a Westinghouse hob along with other items from HARVEY NORMAN, TAKANINI in June 2023. Although fitted in August into a new build house, it was not used until November and probably only a dozen or so times even then. It came without a box but was cosmetically fine along with 12 month warranty, just like any other new product. Unfortunately it broke down last night and they are unable to get anyone to come out until AFTER Christmas 28 December (they did offer to let me borrow a single portable induction hob which I am sure will be most helpful cooking lunch for 12 on Christmas day! To add insult to injury, although I paid over $1,000 for it, the Manager's response to my email was that it was a Grade C. I didn't know that because it was "heavily reduced" that it's durability should be any less than any other item sold in their store or that Grade C was a euphuism for "don't be surprised if it breaks down". If that had been the case then I would not have purchased it. So beware, ask the right questions or better still, AVOID Harvey Norman at Takanini.

"Where to start!!"

Where to start!!
K..I bought a Miele washing & drying machine.. I asked if I needed to hire a plumber they said no Miele will install.. well that tuned out to be a disaster of unqualified installers which resulted in a broken tap & a flood .. that has since been resolved by Miele after some tussles!!.. many thanks
However the sales rep at Harvey Norman
Mt Mount Wellington said to cover warranty of my Miele appliances I needed to BUY a 'Monster Power protector' to protect my new appliances of power surges !!
However when the Plumber came to repair/sort out Miele's installers blunder he said I definitely did not need this (however the packet is now open) & had been plugged in so the plumber removed it ..
I spoke with Miele who said clearly it says on page 7 of their manual NOT to use a multi socket adapter or extension lead.
1// the Miele installers installed it !!
2// | only ever found out after I bought my appliance & they left the manuals for me to read yes after it had been installed!!
3// Miele replied it's clearly says .. yes BUT you had your reps sell it to me under threat of void of warranty..
4// I would like a refund .. none was offered & of course you can have your Monster Power protector back ..
(we are working everyday at this time of year like many ..so returning to argue my rights as a consumer has not been a priority but is still one of principal and my right of returning a product open or closed that I was sold under false pretences!! Still stands )
