I booked my flight at 10pm. At 11:58pm that night I received a text and email stating my reservation could not be completed. I called at 6:15am and was told because I had a 7.5 hour layover they wanted to confirm I booked the correct flight. Of course I knew it was a long layover which is why I booked it. Then I was asked if I wanted to book seats and stated if it costs money then no I don't want to pay more. All of a sudden I'm told the price has gone up by $280 and they could no longer honor my price because I would be paying much more elsewhere. After another phone call and review of their prices again I could still get the same price as the night before. One I became confrontational, stated it was a bait and switch, and I would not be booking (I said this 3 times) I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes with the rep coming back to state I would be getting the flight at the price I paid. Interesting...

It appears that you need to be willing to fight for what is fair and understand what you are paying for. I was given the following reasons the flight went up in price: lack of availability, their website hadn't updated yet, I would pay more on other sites, they weren't able to call me in the middle of the night (apple picks their number up as spam FYI). These to me are not legitimate reasons and if you processed my request at one price you need to honor it, especially if the company itself put my reservation on hold.

It is fairly easy to book a cheap flight but something as simple as web check in costs $7.99 per person. Fees annoy me.

They gave me a price for two tickets ($707.24 each) and charged me $744.71 for one and 796.71 for the other one. In one of the itinerary/eticket confirmation they send me it says at the bottom that is the amount I paid is $707.24 and in the other one there is a line item with the description "Additional Collected Amount...$89.47". They did not explain the reason for this in the two phone calls I had with them.

The priuces was great! Saved so much money over other publiwshed fares. tje booking esperience was smooth. We had to chance due to change of planes. It was a fully refundable tidket. We did have challenges with the refund process. However, due to the edcellent help of an associate named Nicholas we were able to get iit handled to our satisfaction. IU would not hesitateb to uese Cheap Fares again.

If I could I would give zero stars.. booked a flight for my 15 year old grandson to fly from Portland to Las Vegas. The day before his flight I was contacted by a representative who told me that we would need to pay extra for a carryon ( backpack ) and also we needed to pay to guarantee an assigned seat and if we didn’t do that he may end up on standby .. so under duress I paid the extra 190$ in addition to what I had already paid for ticket. Called Alaska airlines directly and found out that was incorrect information. He already had assigned seat at no charge since he was an unaccompanied minor and also he was allowed one carryon at no charge! Called cheapairfares back and when asked for a reversal of charges I was hung up on by customer service.. filed a dispute with my cc company and once I did that I got a response and also my refund. So my advice would be if you use this company always double check with airline directly before falling for their upselling scam! I will be reporting this company to BBB.
