I purchased 4 tickets for a spring break trip. Tragically one of the passengers, my 17 year old daughter, passed awsy before using the ticket. I contacted customer service, I was told I needed the death certificate. So I contacted them again and was told no refund. I think it’s quite sad that after purchasing 4 tickets I can’t get refunded 1 ticket for something like a death.

Despicable business practices. The original listed rate suddenly includes surprise upcharges that double rate; in essence we paid the equivalent of 4 tickets.
On investigation, the airline receipt shows they booked the 2 original listed rates on their Visa card and pocketed all the surcharges that totaled the equivalent of 2 airline tickets worth.

Deceptive and abusive with their cancellation and modification policies! The airline claims to offer 24 hours to make changes or cancellations without cost, but this is a complete lie. I bought my ticket at 11:50 p.m., and although I tried to modify it within the stated time frame, I was hit with excessive fees and pointless excuses. Customer service is inefficient and offers no real solutions. They clearly look for any excuse to charge additional fees.

According to the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), airlines must allow passengers to cancel a reservation and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made within 24 hours of booking. This airline does not adhere to this rule, showing a lack of ethics and commitment to its customers. A frustrating experience and definitely not recommended.

"Avoid CheapFlightFares – Got Scammed!"

I booked a Porter Airlines flight through CheapFlightFares for $650 but wasn’t charged immediately. When I called, the rep claimed I had to pay an extra $190 to “guarantee” my seat, supposedly per Porter Airlines’ policy. I reluctantly paid, bringing my total to $860.

After calling Porter Airlines directly, I learned this was a complete lie—the basic fare I initially booked already guaranteed my seat. I called CheapFlightFares back to cancel, but they refused, despite their 24-hour free cancellation policy.

This scammed me out of $190. Stay far away!
