"Took credit, rebooked a year later"
Our trip to Russia was cancelled last year due to a certain pandemic. We've been given a choice of credit or a refund (-200$). We chose credit and recently rebooked the same trip with help of Austin from customer service. My phone call was picked up at a first ring and for two days (!) Austin has been in contact with me by phone and e-mail making sure everything goes through. That is a lot of work and dedication. The whole experience was a breeze for me.
I am yet to receive the refund from airline from the previous booking (takes 14-21 business days) but I am certain that everything will be all right.
I wish your company and your employes all the best through this difficult time. Thank you.
Kind regards

"DO NOT BOOK-IT’S A SCAM"
Do not purchase your flight from this website! It’s a fraud. We booked our flight and when I went to go pick our seats two weeks later on the airline website I noticed that our original flight was canceled and they were trying to place us on a rebooked flight where the connecting flight arrived AFTER our connection is supposed to take off to our final destination. No email, no call, no nothing. Meaning we now had a flight that would leave us stranded at the layover city. When we contacted customer service they we needed to just wait because they were waiting for the airline to provide them with a new flight. When I asked if they could refund me or give me a credit to rebook it myself they said no to a refund and said they would only credit me for the airlines the original flight was for. Well, we had two connections so it was two differently airlines and the first half of the flight the airline was No longer flying that route so why on earth would I want a credit with FinAir when I wasn’t even going to Finland?
So I contacted the airline and the airline said that these third party companies are not being honest and that Skybooker was not waiting for anything from them as there was no plan to rebook or bring that flight back. When I contacted skybooker and told them they ignored my emails.
When they did respond after I told them I would report them to the FTC and dispute the charge they changed their tune and wanted to issue a refund minus several hundreds in service fees WHEN THEY WERE THE ONES THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. If I had been trying to cancel the flight, it would be understandable to deduct a fee but they’re taking our money for a flight that doesn’t exist and trying to steal hundreds in service fees for a device they weren't even able to provide?
I contacted my bank to dispute since I wasn’t getting any response and now the service we had paid for was no longer available and they were trying to keep $2,400 for a flight itinerary that doesn’t even exist.
Guess who called me the next day? They were incredibly rude and said it wasn’t their fault the airline canceled the flight and that they booked what we paid for…uh. No. You booked me on a flight that’s no longer available and doesn’t get me to my ultimate destination. How on earth is this an acceptable solution? They then sent me an email stating that they canceled our entire flight, won’t issue a refund at all, or even offer a credit. So they’re trying to keep money for a service they have now completely canceled and refuse to refund or credit because they want to punish us for disputing the charge? DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!!

"Stay far away from them!!"
Stay far away from them!!! The worse company EVER!!!!!
My flights were cancelled back in March 2020 due to COVID I asked for a refund but instead they gave me flight credits for $2100 (total of 3 roundtrip tickets). Now I’m ready to book and let’s just say it’s been a nightmare!! Every time I call I get a rude customer service rep and I’ve asked to speak to a manager and of course the person on the phone happens to be the manager. Then when I ask to speak to a supervisor I’m told I have to call back in 2 hours!!! Like what type of business is this??!!! They keep telling me in order for me to book I have to email them and they will let me know if delta will accept my request!! I’m like if I have to go through all of this just give me my money back and let me book directly with delta!! I am still waiting for them to give me an answer!
Please do not give this shady, wannabe travel agency your money! Run far away!!

"Beware!!"
I experienced everything that others have testified to in their negative reviews. My flight for March 2020 was cancelled due to COVID. After a couple of attempts, I was able to get a future credit. A few months ago I tried to use the credit for a different destination but was told the credit had to be used on a trip to Europe (my original ticket destination). I didn’t feel like going back and forth so I said I would book a flight to Europe at a later date. The later date arrived and I booked a flight to Europe using the “future credit” option on the skybooker website. I was sent a confirmation email and it appeared everything was good to go. Wrong! A few days later I received an email stating the tickets would be an additional $415 per person to be issued. I questioned this and was giving the run around about fees, so I decided to cancel that reservation.
Next, I reached out to Delta directly. They asked for my original ticket numbers (which luckily I still had). Once Delta checked, they said they could see where I had a credit that could be used on “any Delta flight”. I asked the Delta representative if I could book directly with them, and the answer was yes! Long story short, I was able to book my flight directly with Delta at the original price and avoided dealing with skybooker. I suggest reaching out to your airlines, especially if your original flight was with Delta, and cut out skybooker from the process.

Due to Covid we were unable to take the trip we had planned. After speaking with their Manager and explaining our situation they were able to accommodate us with a credit. We appreciate their customer service.

"Scam - Looking for Others Interested in Class Action"
Scam! Have yet to receive my refund after nearly 60 business days processing and going back and forth since March! Originally only offered 54% refund for my ticket costs which goes against current airline and travel agent laws due to COVID. The consumer protection status is that there are no cancellation fees to be applied to consumers. However, ended up settling for an 80% refund in order to get funds back more timely.
They have been stringing me along and not providing any updates even though we are past flight dates. I reach out periodically and they site emailing their refund department for news and waiting to hear back.
DO NOT USE THEM. I technically booked via Airfare Experts but they go by various aliases online. Looking for interested individuals with similar experiences to explore a class action lawsuit with. Please email me at hmdaly5 @gmail.com if you would like to be added to this endeavor. Whether we receive funds, putting an end to criminal and predatory business practices is of upmost importance.

"Customer service lack of response cost me"
Yeah I have to echo the sentiments of most of these low reviews. I tried to rebook a flight since mine was also cancelled due to COVID and I was told I had to reach out directly with the flights I wanted. 8 days later the prices doubled and I had to pay over $400 out of pocket (WITH a $900 credit already) after I kept calling and "Max" was always somehow not there. Seriously you won't save that much, and if for some reason you need to cancel you will end up paying more.

"good experience with Skybooker in past, was able to resolve issues with using my flight credit."
I have used Skybooker in the past well before the pandemic and always found them to be an asset and have especially appreciated dealing with Max. The pandemic was very disruptive not just for the airlines, but obviously even more so for consolidators like Skybooker offering deals and working with thin profit margins. I opted for a flight credit for a round trip business class ticket to Germany booked in early 2020 and was able to use the credit to get a new flight a few days ago. There were some extra fees involved, but again my experience is that they are not unethical and trying to make the best of a difficult situation. I am happy with this last experience and based on my experience I would recommend them, particularly Max, in the future as things get back to normal. I understand the frustration that some clients may have had dealing with the cancellation of flights and difficulties in rebooking, but I think some of the comments and accusations, at least from my experience, are unfair. When you book through a consolidator you get a less expensive ticket, but there are some risks involved. The pandemic was a once in a century event.
