"Unprofessional"

I purchased a 3 year old vehicle form this outfit for £40k. It had an MOT Advisory about the 2 front tyres. I discussed this with them but they refused to replace them and said it had been checked and was of no consequence. I bought the vehicle anyway on the basis that I would have to buy 2 new front tyres.
I traded in my old vehicle but did not have the V5C or spare key. They said I could post these to them but they would have to take a £1000 retainer which would be repaid on receipt of the items. I posted these items the next day recorded delivery. I was told at the time to send the V5C as it was and did not need to inform DVLA as they would take care of this as a Motor Trader.
Some days later I phoned to find out where was my £1000. I then phoned every day for the next 2 weeks only to be told someone would phone me back. I finally received my money, some 3 weeks later.
This morning, some 4 weeks after the sale of my old vehicle, I received a letter from the DVLA stating that they had received a request for new ownership but had not been informed of its transfer!!!
From the horrific reviews that has been posted on this lot, I can only regard myself as lucky and just hope that nothing goes wrong with my purchased vehicle as I will be on my own.
I suppose I can now expect their usual ‘off the shelf’ reply, ‘sorry to hear etc etc.’

The very day we came, my wife found the car she wished. In three days, we came second time, paid (part exchange), collected it, and went home in a new car. We were proposed to do it on the second day, but it didn't go with our plans.

"Do not buy a car from Saxton without reading"

Bought a car from Saxton. All went fine. Until we got home. The car looked great until the sun shone on it and whatever they had polished it with came off in the rain. Then there are 3 big scratches on the bonnet, one on the bumper and it has car wash scratches all over. I have called saxton 4 times, the sales manager, Ali, was supposed to ring me back each time but hasn't. I eventually corresponded with Terry who said they wouldn't do anything but I needed to speak to the sales manager! We have booked the car in to get it sorted and the owner of the place in a small town has had similar issues with cars from them, bearing in mind we are over 100 miles away. It would appear this is a common theme with Saxton, however, on previous occasions they have agreed to pay to put it right. Terrible after sale service considering they sell expensive cars. They do the minimum preparation to make the car look ok, get you to agree and accept and then stick to the sold as seen line with no after sale service whatsoever. This strikes me as the behaviour of con men rather than a professional, high end car sales facility. Just wanted to share this with others.

I had a great experience at Saxton as there was no hard sell, a relaxed and informative team. In particular, Mo managed me throughout the buying and part exchanging of my vehicle. Would definitely recommend.
