"Extremely Disappointing Stay – Unresolved Issues"

I recently booked a stay at Birmingham through Booking.com, and my experience was far below expectations.
Delayed Check-In: The check-in process was severely delayed, requiring over 10 calls to the property and Booking.com. This caused significant stress, and the lack of communication made the situation feel untrustworthy.
Unhygienic Conditions: The apartment was in an unacceptable state. The bathroom was dirty, with water in the tub, hair on the walls, and an unclean mirror. Kitchen appliances like the oven and microwave were also filthy.
No Hot Water: There was no hot water throughout my stay, and despite reporting it, no action was taken. Customer service assured me of a resolution, but no follow-up occurred.

Overall, my concerns were handled poorly, and the only compensation offered was an extended check-out, which did not equate to the issues faced. This experience left me disappointed and questioning the standards upheld by Booking.com and the property.

I strongly urge better communication, thorough cleanliness checks, and prompt resolution of issues to prevent future guests from enduring similar experiences.

"The accommodation was ok but the…"

The accommodation was ok but the problems I had were 1) the front door had been forced at some time and the lock was loose and had not been repaired
2) there was no plug for the kitchen sink so washing the dishes was done in the bathroom not a healthy place
3) the wifi details are incorrect and two requests to the owners went unresolved

"Very nicely appointed property"

Very nicely appointed property - just right as a base to work from or explore local tourist spots for the week. Just a few mins walk from the train station and town centre.

"Apartment is very luxurious"

Apartment is very luxurious, bedding is really comfy, kitchen and bathroom are immaculate overall very nice place also the host is very helpful and friendly will definitely come again in the future :)

"Blackburn Apartment "

Good size, well equipped and well located giving easy access to the town centre. On the not so positive side: only one window in the whole apartment, the walls and carpets were badly marked and the shower door handle and shower rail were broken. Also when I reported that the sink plug was jammed, meaning it wasn’t possible to empty the sink, I didn’t receive a response and the fault wasn’t fixed
