"Excellent plants and excellent people"

The customer service has been excellent and incredibly proactive in solving delivery delays from their suppliers. The plants always arrive happy and healthy, both subscriptions and one-off purchases. I love the range of pots that have arrived with my subscription plants, and they are packaged very well to ensure no breakages. A brilliant company to make your home green!

"Loving my subscription"

Absolutely loving the plants I have had delivered on subscription. I feel really excited when I know another plant is coming. Each plant has been beautiful and different to the things I would find in the shops.

"Premium format, premium service"

The site is easy to use and clear, with a recent reform of how their plant subscription works you now not only get more varied plants (and the odd extra) but at a lower cost than before and should you run into any issues their customer service is very efficient, friendly and polite

"A bit disappointed..."

Someone gifted me a voucher for my birthday for a three months membership. I received my first little plant and I just can’t believe it works out £35 for such a small plant and basic pot. It took nearly three weeks to arrive, would of been longer If I hadn’t chased, apparently there was a fault in the system. I’m disappointed there was no care label or even the name or the plant with it. Just assumed you would get a bit more for your money. Hopefully my next plant will be a bit more exciting!

"LOVE Bloombox…"

I absolutely love my Bloombox subscription, it’s the highlight of my month! The plants come in beautiful pots and very carefully packaged. All my plants to date have arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommend this lovely small business.

"Great service!"

I've ordered a few plants from Bloombox and my last one wasn't in great condition when it arrived. I contacted them and they sent a replacement within a week that is now thriving - great service!

"Misleading and bad"

I have purchased 2 plants (Anthurium ellipticum 'Jungle King' and Alocasia cucullata 'Spear Queen'. Spear Queen has no trunk. On their website Spear Queen has a chunky trunk. I was told that the photo of the plant was a mature plant, but the one I received was a young plant and it "would grow in this way in time". I think that it is wrong to display the image which is not an accurate representation of the product. It is misleading. Also, Jungle King has got big holes in the leave. For this, I was given £5 discount for the next purchase. However, I do not want to buy anything from them again.

"Bitterly Disappointing! Currently Avoid"

I think it's fair to say that Bloombox are a fledgling company however that can only account for a portion of the current shortfalls.

1, The website doesn't currently provide you with an expected dispatch date so at the time of placing your order you have no idea if you can expect it in a few days/weeks or next month. I emailed Bloombox about this and have received no response (8 days later).

2, The plant itself did arrive damaged, with broken & bruised leaves. The plant had also arrived with soil everywhere although this is likely due to the courier.

3, The "carefully selected" pot is actually nothing more than an off the shelf £5 pot that can be found at many online retailers. A far cry from everything advertised and the £50 price tag.


4, Their customer care is non-existence, as of yet i have received no response to any communication via email including an email to halt my subscription.

I hope to update pending communication with Bloombox

*NOTE*
BloomBox has indeed made an attempt to resolve the current situation and i am happy with their compensation.

However i dispute the response to poor Customer Support and "High Quality & Unique" pots.

"Badly damaged plant arrived."

Recieved the August plant, the Rhapidophora Tetrasperma. The pot was nice but thats where the niceties end. The plant came severely overwatered and heavily damaged. Leafs were snapped throughout and of the healthy leaves these were browning on the edges.

Raised this with bloombox who fobbed me off with a £5 discount voucher which I don't want or need. The customer service team weren't particularly interested in how badly damaged the plant was.

Overall pretty disappointing, I can't say whether this is a one off or not as I've cancelled my subscription.
