"did everything they said they would…"
did everything they said they would picked up and dropped off when they said they would called 30 minutes before arriving.
there were a couple of issues I knew about before the bike went away which I didn't mention.
got a call from an engineer who picked up on the problems and rectified them.
very good service will use again

"Havebike should be applauded for their innovation."
Excellent personal and efficient service. Spent more than I envisaged as I was unaware of some of the work required to the bike. Would certainly use havebike again - no qualms.

"Efficient and helpful service"
First time I have used this service and all went well. Staff were very helpful and prompt with pre-service enquiries and pick-up and delivery service was excellent. I had the bike serviced and new tyres fitted and all was as expected on return

"Service left my bike in a worse condition"
My bike went in needing a bit of TLC. I knew it needed new brake pads but otherwise it was ok. They told me that it would cost £350+ to mend it. I asked them just to return it, since it worked fine and I could get the brake pads fixed separately. It came back and the chain cassette has been so badly damaged that it is no longer cycleable. I’ll get this mended elsewhere but I would strongly recommend not sending your bike there - I’ve paid £30 for it to be returned in a worse state. Very disappointing (especially as the couriers are lovely and very efficient).

"Got there in the end mostly."
Updated:
My 18 month old bike went in for a Deluxe Service. It went in with squealing brakes (contamination) as well as a chain that dropped when one combination of gears was selected (both noted on the booking form). This was my first time using them. Booking, collection were easy and drivers were polite. Throughout the experience, delivery was great and the people very good.
Additional costs of £40 were paid for replacement pads/rotors, which I had expected based on contamination of WD40 into them.
Due to a number of issues, the bike took three attempts in the workshop to fix most issues, despite being lightly used (and bought from new)
On the first time returned, both pre-existing problems that had been on the booking form remained (chain + brakes) and in a stem cap had also gone missing. The bike was subsequently taken back and the cap was found, however the brakes still had issues as did the chain. On the third return chain and front brakes are good, rear brakes are still squealers (but better than before). Think we'll call it there.
Overall couple of observations for them:
- Make sure that if the job sheet as pre-existing item(s) listed that these are done :)
- Phone number is not answered generally, more help via phone would be good as e-mails also weren't responded to, at one point I was worried my bike had gone missing.
Thanks for getting there in the end and for the idea, which is a good one, but I didn't think my bike had significant issues so surprised it was this hard to resolve.

"Absolutely shocking!!"
Absolutely shocking!!
My bike had a buckled back wheel when I sent it for a service costing £59.
I was called during the service and told my bike needed a further £95 of repairs despite the bike being less than 3 months old. I paid, received the bike back and it seemed to be ok but after just two short outings the wheel was knocking and had become buckled again. I raised a complaint and was told they would take the bike back and have a look. On THREE separate occasions they failed to collect the bike despite me contacting them on the day, the third time round to let them know I had received no booking slot or phone call.
I do not understand how you can let someone spend £160, be unhappy and then not even care enough to follow up on a complaint, THREE TIMES!
During a time when people are short on money its appalling to take payment and not provide a high standard of service or even care enough to ensure a complaint is handled correctly.
Total lack of concern for the customer.

"Excellent service from start to finish."
Had son's bike serviced this week at havebike this week and we were delighted not only with the results but with the ease of process from start to finish. Easy online booking, choose your date, choose level of service. Quick confirmation. They collect from your house and call to give you an accurate time. Bike photographed before being taken to workshop and fully serviced cycle returned at alloted time. Simple concept but brilliantly executed. Highly recommended, will use again.

My Brompton was away for a few days and has come back like new, no complaints and given that they collect and deliver there is no fathing about dropping off and picking up.
