"First Rate Bike Service"

I've used these guys three times now for three different bikes and the service works exactly as they say it should. You book the bike in, they pick it up, they keep you informed, and they bring it back a (working) day or two later. Standard of work is extremely high, and the liaison is very personable. Can't recommend highly enough.

"Top quality service"

Top quality service!

Very prompt pick-up and return of the bike. When they have your bike at the workshop they call you and let you know if you need any additional work. I needed a lot of work done and wasn't in the financial state to pay for all of it. The guy at the workshop advised that I consider buying a new bike rather than pay a substantial amount to repair it - genuine service rather than trying to rip me off!

They returned it to me and all I had to pay was the delivery cost. They provided a form indicating what work needs doing if I ever wanted to get it repaired - they even threw in a free chainring for me!

Genuine people who just want to service bikes.

Outstanding service by Havebike and would recommend to anyone. The bike feels brand new. It looks sparkling and the gears and breaks work like it's new. Would definitely use again.

"7 star experience 💯 💯 💯!!!"

7 star experience 💯 💯 💯!!!

Booked a service back in September. Everything was done as agreed. The whole booking process, easy, straightforward, user friendly.

Bike was picked up and dropped off on time.

After a couple of months I had a problem with the brakes and I've rang them. They do offer a 12 month guarantee on labour and they were extremely accommodating. Dave and Yannis went above and beyond and sorted out the brake issue in less than 6 hours, came and picked it up and dropped it off in 4 hours! I had food deliveries that took longer!

Highly recommended and I know that if I have any issue with my bicycle they'll be my first and only choice 💯 💯 💯

I have just had my bike serviced which needed some attention. Pick up and drop off all went well with no problems, good communication from start to finish and I am happy with my bike which is like new again.

"my bike is WORSE after a 300£ service"

Sent my bike for servicing just to find out the do not service internal gear hubs as part of a "deluxe" service.
By the day I'm supposed to get my bike back I called them as I did not have any info in regards, just for them to say that they tried to contact me days prior despite me not having any calls logged on my phone or messages in the voicemail.
The job would be 205£ on top of the 90 paid for the "deluxe" service.
This is the breakdown of the costs:
"true rear wheel £15.00
2No tyres plus fitting £120.00
New chain £15.00
New sprocket £15.00
replace ant fit bottom bracket £40.00"
One Hundred And Twenty Pounds to fit 2 new tyres.
when asked if that could be avoided they replied no, because then the bike wouldn't be "road-safe" by their standards.
I accept as I needed the bike for the school run asap, and because il would cost me nearly 30£ just t get my bike back.
Getting my bike back I could still hear a noise while pedaling which I mentioned in the comment section whilst boking the service and I sent them a video as they requested, the only answer has been "tell us your earliest convenience to get your bike picked up" without discussing what they think the problem could be or discussing ANY cost, just for the sake to take my bike hostage again.
cherry on top, 1 week after getting the bike back the left pedal became wobbly and almost fell off the bottom bracket, so much so for their conclaimed "Road Safety Standards".
Wanted to have a treat having my bike serviced and it turned out in a sour experience.

UPDATE: yesterday the left pedal started making a metal grinding noise whilst pushing.
Also the very next day I left this review I got contacted by them several times for my bike to be collected to fix the previous problem I mentioned.
Whilst talking about cost Dave, the person I dealt with, mentioned that I wouldn't pay anything IF they found problem was cause by their work.
When asked to write our conversation in a email he just shrugged the matter say I wouldn't pay anything.

My bike is WORSE NOW than before the 300£ service. Other reviewers got they bike damaged by their work, I decided to not give it back to them as they did such a terrible job, I no longer trust them. I'll bring my bike to a local repair shop instead to fix the mistakes havebike has done

"Expensive and poor customer service"

Great concept but sadly my experience has been poor. Bike service was very easy to book on the website. Day 1: Bike was collected promptly so far so good. I got a voicemail on day 2 saying that my bike required further work beyond the service and to call Havebike ASAP. I tried to call and tried, and tried again through the day (at least 20 times) I was unable to get through anybody. Left 2 voicemails. Emailed the company as advised on their voice message and website. No answer. Day 3: I tried to ring again several times from 8am. This is the day my bike was supposed to be back. No joy speaking to anyone. I decided to ring the driver who collected my bike. He was super helpful and apologetic. Eventually someone (Dave?) in the office called me back. He was very unprofessional blaming me for not having answered the call in the first instance (I was on another work call) My alternative phone number was not used and Dave? kept saying that there was no time to call clients in their 2 numbers or get back to voicemails in a very rude and patronising tone as if there was no issue at Havebike's end. Dave? Why do you take the jobs if you cannot cope with the demand and your customers cannot reach you or get updates? Very poor unempathetic client service. Day 6: Bike arrived. As for the cost, I ended up paying twice as much as the service fee. I know the bike wasn't in perfect condition condition but £178.99 is a lot of money. First and last time using Havebike for me!

"Very convenient luxury service at competitive rates"

It has been a real pleasure using this service. My brother in law recommended it as he felt they fully refurbished his bike when he needed them. He suggested their service as I was moving cities and my bike was not stored where I lived so the logistics of getting it home, fixing it, and then moving it were impossible. Even more so because I was very tight on time. I was moving cities in less than 2 weeks.

Upon visiting their website I could see that they had collection slots available just the next day and the bike would be returned within 72 hours of collection. Also, they could pick the bike from where it was stored and return to my actual address that was different. Everything was booked electronically and the system was very user friendly. Felt like a miracle! The prices also were quite competitive.

However, my bike was not only left unused for 3+ years but also not stored properly and with neighbours that would abuse it. It was completely destroyed so I was very doubtful it could be returned in the right condition in such a short period of time. As it turned out it absolutely did!

I had to pay extra as it needed almost complete refurbishment but the service was very good to contact me and discuss this with me without any pressure to commit to it. They were also very good with their communication as to collection and drop times.

When they returned the bike within the timeframe booked and having done everything we discussed there were a couple of very minor things I was not completely sure about. I called them to discuss it and they were very accommodating. Immediately they offered to collect again, inspect, and return it at a time convenient to me so to make certain nothing was missed.

Overall I found this to be an excellent service that truly delivered what I was hoping for and I would also recommend to others and use it again.
