"Be aware of these fraudsters"
Be aware. I booked a car - selecting Sixt, using Vehicle Rent. This was 3 months prior to travel in Portugal. I called Sixt with my booking reference the week before travel, and Sixt confirmed the car was booked. The day I was due to fly out, I got an email from Vehicle Rent, saying Sixt had cancelled my booking, but not to worry - they had rebooked a worse car with some small company which had bad reviews. I called Sixt, and was told there had been no issue with the booking, but 'My rental agent' (Vehicle Rent) had called and cancelled the booking. Vehcile Rent deny this, but it's clear it happened. I asked for a refund, which they said they would provide. I then booked direct with Sixt as I needed a car. No refund was recieved. Fortunatly, VISA was able to claim my money back. Be vary carefuly of these guys.

I have used Vehicle Rent three times previously and have not had any problems until I accidentally damaged the rear wing of the rental car in August 2018. I purchased their Sit and Relax package and made a claim the next day after damaging the car. I was promised a refund of €726,26 within 90 days. Well 146 days later I am still waiting for my money back. You cannot get hold of their claims department by telephone, only by email. I have patiently waited for 90 days, sent them multiple emails but half of my emails have not been responded to. I received 2 replies stating "We sincerely apologise for the delay in processing your claim and we thank you for your generous patience". After reading reviews on here I am very doubtful they will make a refund hence I am in contact with Skyscanner and Slovenian authorities at the moment with a hope I will get my money back somehow. I will never be using this company again and don't recommend to anyone - they will simply steal your money!!!

I received my full refund due this morning and I wish to acknowledge the fact.. They say their Technical Issues have been resolved- I can only say I hope this is true for others who are waiting for refunds.
