"I didn't receive the refund of 152.60€ after return a jeans"

After receiving
on my order of 10/21/20 i came to the conclusion that the size was not the most correct and i decided to return the product on 11/15/20. After two weeks of no response to the receipt of the goods, I decided to contact Scotch & Soda. I used the form on the site but I didn't get a response. I used it 3 more times at different times and I got no answer. Finally I decided to send an email to consumercare on 12/29/2020 and from which I did not get a reply either.

For this reason I lost € 152.60.

I am a regular buyer of Scotch & Soda. Customer for more than 10 years with a lot of money spent on your online store.

But after that this was my last purchase.

"Terrible customer service"

Terrible customer service, no customer care. Purchased some items in the sale, noticed the next day reduced further. They want me to send back and re purchase which is not logical or environmentally responsible. (I know I accepted the list price when purchasing) - A partial refund to keep a happy customer as I noticed the next day. Now I would have to pay to send back based on reviews below. Terrible to see a brand that doesn’t value it’s customers. £20 would’ve kept me a customer for life, now I’ll never order another item from them again. Direct or indirect. AVOID!

"25% return cost!!"

I bought a pant that were supposed to be and described as super-slim (Mott), however when they arrived i tried them on and discovered that they are not.

Hence, i wanted to return them to S&S. The return description says returns are on buyers cost, which i would say is not normal at all these days, but ok i could live with that this one time.

However, upon returning the 1 item i bought for €89, they would charge me €21 to return it. This means 3 things;

1. The retun cost of the 1 product is about 25% of the item cost
2. The total price for a pant that was not at all as expected or described was then €110
3. For obvious reasons, im not looking to keep the pants, witch means the only thing im left with after buying this product is -€21 and a lot of time wasted

Overall experience was terrible. Will not buy from them directly again. Way better to buy from Zalando or similar.

"I purchased some clothing and had it…"

I purchased some clothing and had it delivered today to be hit with an approx £65 import duty bill. I went onto the website and can see that because of Brexit they’re saying that we may be charged import duties which we were.
I was unaware that this clothing was coming from overseas as it didn’t state this on check out especially as we were paying in GBP. I think they should have a warning at checkout stating that these duties will be charged when purchasing the clothing as it is an extra cost which I certainly couldn’t afford at this moment in time and if I would have known, I would not have purchased from the website. They need to advise other customers before purchasing so they don’t fall into the same trap. BIG RIP OFF!

"Additional charges to the UK"

I've been a happy Scotch & Soda customer for many years until now! Can't fault the clothes BUT If you're now ordering from the UK you will be charged additional import duties, VAT and a broker charge that was pretty much 50% of my total order. S&C should make it clearer for UK customers, or just say not accepting UK orders at present. I won't be ordering online with them until they make the effort to sort out the additional charges.

Lovely item, but the returns are in the Netherlands!! Which is off putting, with a £8 charge.

"They had UPS charge me a brokerage fee…"

They had UPS charge me a brokerage fee for VAT issues that they can’t be bothered to sort themselves. Had to charge back through my bank to get a refund in the end. Shame as they used to be an ok business. Suggest ‘Seven for all mankind’ as a much better alternative.

"Luxusmarke, die zum Denken anregt"

Qualität:
Sehr unterschiedlich je nach Stück. Pullover und Hosen sind aber mehr als nur zuverlässig (halten bei monatlicher Nutzung und Wachgang knapp 5 Jahre bei mir). Bei Jacken, Schuhen und ähnlichem variiert die Qualität stark.

Ich habe in vielen Kommentaren gelesen, dass die Farbe verwäscht.
Man soll farbige Stücke die ersten paar Male einzeln waschen, besonders welche, die mit Öl gefärbt sind. Steht auch in der Beilage.

Service:
Store (Düsseldorf) hat einen super Service, der allerdings wenig eigenEngagement zeigt.
Der Online Service ist entgegen mancher Behauptungen nicht katastrophal, sondern man muss sich vorher mit dem Produkt auseinandersetzen. Allerdings können die durchaus unhöflich sein.

Retouren:
Ein Packet in die Niederlande kostet 15€.
Das sollte man wissen.
Deswegen Packet in einem Store in Deutschland abgeben oder über Zalando bestellen.

Mode:
Ist mir persönlich stellenweise zu gewagt. Ich bestelle meist die Basics oder etwas schlichteren Hoodies und Pullover, welche nur einen Print auf Brusthöhe haben. Die Hemden sind mir von der Passform zu unseriös, ist aber nur meine Meinung. Sehr viel buntes im Angebot. Ich würde die Ecru und Beige Farben hervorheben, die immer einzigartig getroffen sind.

Transparenz:
Wenn gleich sie sich sehr für ihre Nachhaltigkeit rühmen, geben sie keine Auskunft für die in Indien hergestellte Kleidung. Ein Schelm wer Böses denkt.

Fazit: Mit ein bisschen Vernunft an die Handhabung der Stücke rangehen. Wenn man sie nicht nach allen Regeln der Kunst knechtet, kann man sich hier einen treuen , hochwertigen Pullover für möglicherweise Jahrzehnte kaufen.

"Customer bears the cost for their system glitch"

I’m a customer from Hong Kong and this is not my first time shopping in their physical store and online store. However I’ve encountered the worst shopping experience ever two weeks ago and the problem is still unsolved.
1. They sent the order to the address in Amsterdam which I DIDN’T choose.
2. Customer service hotline is difficult to reach. I made many international phone calls just to be put on hold.
3. They would ask the customer to pick up the order from the wrong address they sent to and returned to them at my own cost, which is totally ridiculous. Do they truly expect that I fly over to Amsterdam from
Hong Kong to do that ?
3. They will try to force a refund on you. I made it clear that I would like them to resend the package as I’ve already spent so much money on international phone calls and there will be a loss due to exchange rate. Their reply is that they need to wait till the old order is returned to their warehouse to arrange the same package to be delivered to Hong Kong. But they don’t know when and how the old order can be returned back to their warehouse.

Seriously, a renowned clothing company like a Scotch and Soda should immediately arrange a new delivery once they realised they’ve made the mistake so that they fulfil the shopping promise. Instead, they would try everything to minimise their loss at the expense of the customers. I would never expect this from a big company. What a terrible mindset they have.

"No refund, no answers"

My daughter ordered a winter coat and had to return it because of bad sizing (it would we helpful if S&S like other brands put the measurements on their website).
Tracking device of bpost indicates that the returned coat was delivered, but after 3 weeks no refund. My daughter sent some emails, but no response.
Very regrettable.
