"Avoid these scammers."

This company is a joke.

I had to pay for the hotels in their stop over program.
When I booked the flights for me and family, it was very clearly stated on the website that we can get FREE accommodation for 2 nights for the stopover in Abu Dhabi.

That's the main reason why we chose Etihad Airways vs other airlines to fly to South Korea.

I didn't book the hotel right after purchasing the flight tickets because we wanted to better define our plans.

Later they said that the program had changed and we had ended up having to pay for the accommodations. This was super scammy practice.

"Profited off my brothers suicide"

I booked a holiday for my brother and I and after he died they only refunded half my ticket. I've called them 20 times. Customer services keep promising a refund an never deliver. I sent the death certificate and eveyrthing. They told me he wasn't really my brother and refused to refund. I couldn't believe it.

Customer representatives sound high or drunk half the time.

Always file a bank dispute against these people if they refuse to refund you within 3 months.

"There customer service is really bad"

There customer service is really bad, i tried talking to them about their prices they raised it 4 times the actual price for the same flight and same basic fare! And kept on stating that that fare isn't available! Like how come if it's tge same flight same basic fare no upgrades and seats are available

"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER"

I was supposed to fly together with my family from Singapore to Rome on July 21. The flight was delayed 1 full day due to technical issues with the plane. We experienced the worst assistance from the ground crew at the airport where we were stuck until 2AM. I am trying to get customer service assistance for the customary compensation for this type of inconvenience, but there is no way to get to the procedure/forms. The website is not clear on this topic and the chat functionality does not contemplate (guess why...). I will do my very best to avoid this airline for the rest of my life and recommend others to do the same. Thanks God there are many other airlines for the same itinerary

"Great experience"

Almost as good as Emirates, but more complimentary stuff, like earplugs and a sleep mask. Great selection of movies and games on inflight entertainment.

Check in and boarding went off without a hitch. Staff was friendly on the flight. Seats are comfortable. No complaints here!

"Deep Disappointment with Etihad Business Class Service"

I sent to complain on the 30th of July and got a reply back on the 11th of September!!!

Dear Etihad Airways,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the level of service and treatment I experienced during my recent journey with your airline.

As a long-standing Etihad Business Class customer, I have come to expect a certain standard of service and amenities, one of which has been the complimentary chauffeur service from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. This has been a consistent and much-appreciated perk that I have enjoyed on numerous occasions when traveling with your airline.

However, upon my arrival at Abu Dhabi airport on flight EY654 from Cairo on July 30, 2024, I was informed at the front desk that I was not eligible for the complimentary chauffeur service, despite having booked a Business Class ticket. This was the first time I had encountered such an issue.

Furthermore, I was informed that this restriction applied to Business Class Value fares, which I had booked using some of my Etihad Guest miles. There was no indication on the website or during the booking process that this service was not available for these particular fares.

Perplexed by this sudden change, I sought to speak with the person in charge to understand the situation better. Unfortunately, the experience only continued to deteriorate from there. I was shuffled between three different representatives, each of whom displayed a severe lack of courtesy and customer service. One individual, Sannan Tariq from your ground operations team, was particularly challenging and even somewhat intimidating in his approach.

When I requested Sannan Tariq's name to include in my complaint, he obligingly wrote it down for me, displaying a complete disregard for the gravity of the situation and the impact it has had on me as a long-standing and loyal Etihad customer.

I am deeply surprised and disappointed by the attitude and behavior of your staff, which is in stark contrast to the exceptional service I have come to expect from Etihad Airways. This experience has left me stranded at the airport, with no means to return to Dubai, as I had been relying entirely on the complimentary chauffeur service that I had always received in the past.

I would like to know how Etihad Airways intends to address this matter and the actions that will be taken to rectify the situation. As a valued customer who has been loyal to your airline for years, I deserve a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this issue.

I look forward to your swift response and a mutually agreeable solution that will restore my faith in Etihad Airways and its commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service.

"Free Hotel for stopover but not free"

I wish I could give them a zero rating because giving them 1 star makes them look good. I booked a flight with Etihad from Christchurch to Manchester and on their app they stated (in bold red) FREE HOTEL UP TO 4 nights. After contacting the customer service they advised me it actually isn’t free on reading the text it says it’s discounted hotels and there is no free hotel. They also charged a booking fee of $32. What an absolute ripoff why say one thing and do another. Really bad advertising. Luckily I was within the cancellation period and cancelled my flight. Etihad needs to be honest with its customers. So please tread carefully with this company they are very dishonest. It’s shame that I can attach a photo of the problems I had with their so called free offer.

"They stole my $2100"

I had a flight from Phuket to Abu Dhabi and from Dubai to Bishkek after (by Emirates). But Etihad told me that my flight is overbooked and I don't fly today. I lost time, money for my second tickets, and also now 22 days already and they didn't back my money for original tickets ($2100, not cheap). Etihad Airways is scammers.

P.S. And I am an influencer with 2M subscribers in social media, and they know it. Just imagine.

upd: They stole my money August, 21, and disappeared from any conversations with my from September, 4, but Visa through my bank (I've asked a chargeback) backed my money.
Do the same thing, coz etihad thieves could only steal but never back. F**ing scammers!

Wilde vlucht verplaatsen voor staking 1oktober in Zaventem,maar ze wilden niet gratis omboeken.Ze wisten officieel nog van niks.Ik had wel al in mei de tickets gekocht.Zelfs na meerdere keren contact niks mogelijk.Heb dan maar de vlucht geannuleerd (met kosten natuurlijk) en met Emirates een nieuwe vlucht geboekt een dag eerder.Een slecht bedrijf die niet wil meedenken met de klanten.1 x geboekt nooit meer.Terug Emirates iets duurder maar wel service

Not a company that has the customer experience in mind AT ALL! They couldn't care less. I was so shocked. Tried them for the first time and won't be using them again.
