"Toronto to Abu Dhabi – Disappointing Experience"

I recently traveled from Toronto to Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. From check-in to landing, the service and overall quality fell well below expectations.

First, the customer service was highly disappointing. The ground staff was unhelpful and rude, making the check-in and boarding process frustrating. Instead of assisting passengers, they seemed indifferent and dismissive.

Onboard, the air hostesses displayed a poor attitude, showing little patience or willingness to help. Their behavior was unprofessional and, at times, outright rude. Passengers expect hospitality and basic courtesy on a long-haul flight, but that was sorely lacking.

The food quality was another major letdown. The meals were poorly prepared, lacked variety, and seemed to cater almost exclusively to Indian passengers, with very little consideration for other preferences. For an international airline, a more inclusive and better-quality meal selection is expected.

Comfort was also an issue. The armrest was broken, and the seats were old and uncomfortable. On a long-haul flight, proper seating is crucial, but the worn-out, barely functional seats made the journey even more unpleasant.

Overall, Etihad Airways needs to significantly improve its customer service, inflight experience, and aircraft maintenance. I would think twice before choosing them again for a long-haul journey.

"Avoid Etihad at all cost"

Avoid Etihad at all cost.
I was flying from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi and continuing to Denmark.
When I arrived in Abu Dhabi, I was denied boarding - because of an overbooked plane.
The result - me in a airport hotel with meal tickets and a voucher on $300 - Here comes the best. The vouchers is only valid for transportation with Eithad airways. This company is a joke.
Please read the regulations (EC261 from 2004) to prepare yourself in the fight with customer service.

"Abwicklung Kofferschaden mies"

Beim Rückflug hat Etihad zwei unserer drei Koffer beschädigt, was ich gleich am Flughafen reklamiert habe. Dort wurde vom Dienstleister alles aufgenommen mir aber keine Fallnummer oder Bestätigungskopie ausgehändigt. Also alles nochmal auf der Etihad Seite eingeben müssen. Der Fall ist dann von Abu Dhabi aus weiter bearbeitet worden. Ein Rimowa Koffer konnte repariert werden, der andere Rimowa Koffer war laut Rimowa irreparabel. Etihad hat mir lediglich 50 Euro für beide Koffer angeboten, da "minor damage. Auch kein Wort der Entschuldigung - das war schon alles sehr enttäuschend. Für den nächsten Flug werde ich Etihad definitiv nicht mehr wählen.

"Why didn’t I fly with Wizzair?!?"

Booked a flight to Rome with Etihad so my expectations were already incredibly low (I am a Gold member so they give me especially bad treatment for some reason). Surprise! They switched the flight to something called Wamos which is in another league of crappiness altogether. My outbound flight to Rome was a daytime flight so being scrunched into a tiny space was endurable. I am about to experience the return on a night flight which does not bode well. I got scammed by a taxi driver on the way to Fiumicino airport. At least he was a pleasant guy which is why he gets one more star than Etihad/Wamos.

"So I was denied boarding on our flight…"

So I was denied boarding on our flight from JFK to AUH to AMD. The agents name was SM on his name tag. This was on February 21, 2025. Initially, the agent took a picture of my Pio Card and passport and sent it to somebody through message to get validation on if I would be allowed entry into on it India he got confirmation saying yes. They issued us our boarding tickets, and they also issued bag Tags. Around 15 minutes later, the agent pulled us from security check in and told me that I cannot board the flight While my wife and kids Could. He said he got a message again stating only I was not allowed to board the flight due to a invalid documents. I asked the agent to show me the message which he refused and said it privileged information. I did some research and showed him on Indian embassy website Stating the validation of the card and passport were authorized to travel to India. www.indianembassyusa. gov. in/pages/Mjc, which you can also look up here. I request a full refund of my tickets that I purchased through their website. I also requested Proof of the messages the agent sent to whomever in Indian immigration, proving that I was not allowed to board that flight. The agent named SM said he was the supervisor and I also spoke with a person in a brown jacket slick back hair did not get his name and he was the manager. There were multiple agents there. There were also cameras there that can show you I did not create any kind of incident and respected their decisionand not create any hassle for them. In addition, had to rebook a flight back home to Tampa and we also had to book a hotel for the overnight till the flight.

"Nie wieder Etihad"

Ich konnte online mein Gepäck nicht buchen und mußte am Schalter einen 23 kg Koffer einchecken. Ab Hamburg nach Trivandrum ( Indien) kostete der Koffer 100 € . Beim Rückflug von Trivandrum sollte der Koffer 600 € kosten. Eine Frechheit !
Zusätzlich ging das Entertainment nicht und der Service war ebenfalls dürftig !

Horrible not worth thé Price n comfort for senior citizen. No facilite of tunnel and have to go up with canon luggage by stars without Any help. After thé take of nothing was served for 4 hours. Not Even water. Luggage came to our place next day. Indian customers not well treated. I spoke to director In charge Mr. Moosa who spoke to me on phone and asked me to write in commente

**WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FRAUDSTERS*****
One of the worst airlines ever, I have used this flight in 2020 and got cancelled due to pandemic, they still not processed by refund in 2025. I have tried to book the flight recently with Etihad for with FLIGHT NETWORK UK LTD[another FRAUD COMPANY IN UK] without knowledge i was literarily robbed an another £280.00 in total Etihad owed me more than £1000. Etihad closely work with the FRAUD travel agent to lure your money.

When you phone the ETIHAD customer services they are WELL TRAINED to provide FALSE & MIS-LEADING information to STEAL your money this one of the worst customer service always intend to STEAL your MONEY.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU BOOK YOU TICKET WITH *ETIHAD* or *FLIGHT NETWORK UK*


I know we use comparison sites like SKYSCANNER to find the cheapest deals on FLIGHTS and these are the companies always provide you the best deals and we choose these companies for the service and then we realise that we are the *VICTIMS OF THESE FRAUD by these FRAUDSTERS*

if you are VULNERABLE beware you will be targeted by these companies

"Première expérience chaotique "

Première expérience chaotique avec 7h de retard au départ, 12h à l'arrivée avec une correspondance ratée et une nuit de 7h sur les bancs de l'aéroport d'Abu Dhabi. Je vois que certains autres passagers ont au moins eu droit à un hôtel, pour moi c'était seulement un bon d'achat de 15€ au départ à CDG.
Sur le retour, à l'heure, mais valise cassée.
Les deux sujets soumis à réclamation depuis novembre et nous sommes en février, pas le moindre retour à part de pauvres excuses à chaque relance.
Hey Etihad, je vous demande pas un geste commerciale (j'ai bien compris que vous n'étes pas une compagnie qui a le sens du client) par contre Règlement (CE) N° 261/2004, c'est la loi, ce n'est pas à votre bon vouloir hein. Maintenant ma plainte est soumise à la DGAC.

Au global, j'ai trouvé l'expérience assez surcoté. Les compagnie du Golfe sont réputées les meilleures mais mon expérience ci-dessus montre qu'il y a peu d'assistance et franchement rien que de faire payer le choix du siège au check in je trouve que c'est assez rat comme move. La prochaine fois je resterais fidèle à Air France où en plus je suis mieux traité de part mon statut flying blue.

"bagaglio extra pagato 4 volte il dovuto"

il volo ha avuto un ritardo in partenza di oltre 3 ore. poi hanno aumentato la velocità di percorrenza per rientrare sotto le 3 ore per non pagare i rimborsi. ma ancora peggio. abbiamo provato a prenotare a prezzo scontato online e con giorni di anticipo i baagli extra ma a causa dei loro sistemi jnformatici non siamo riusciti e ci hanno fatto pagare al desk prezzo pieno pari a 4 volte quello scontato nonostante con screenshot e cronologia di navigazione avessimo dimostrato i nostri tentativi di collegamento. cibo sopra l'aereo immangiabile. sconsigliatissimo
