"Do not pay for extras, you do not get them"
Flew with them on 30th April 2023, paid extra for economy space seats and neighbour free seats. e:mail showed they had given our neighbour free seat to row 27, we were rows 24, hours of calls later, they could not understand our problem, but assured us everything would be ok on the day. Turn up at the airport, we have neither extra space seats, nor neighbour free seat on either. Apparently this happens on every flight.
The crew did their best to help, but the flights were full. 12 couples were in the same predicament on the return journey. We wrote and called Etihad, we sent a recorded delivery letter, which they signed for and not once did they have the decency to contact us. Only when we did a charge back with our card company, did they engage with us. What they had done was sent payment e:mails and not put the seat numbers down, so they denied that we had actually paid them and as the bank could not work out which of the 4 payments belonged to what seat/leg, they could not help us.

"Sitting waiting to leave on an A380"
Sitting waiting to leave on an A380. Located by choice at the back of the economy section. Seats are comfortable enough, however, for the past hour, we have been listening to the most horrendous noise made by the lavatories, which, is apparently normal. It sounds like an enormous food mixer that runs for approximately 10-15 seconds from each lavatory cubical. Absolutely awful experience! Very disappointed. 👎

I fly from Manchester to abudabi tge plan is too small like domestic flight, no leg space, no propyfood. Drings were not aurves
Abudabi to kolkata tge flight even more smaller and they want bacin lagguage to put in checkin saying no space
Etihad flights are not international flight but charges as international, very disappointing tvere is no leg space atall
I wont prefer ethihad any more it’s expensive but below standard

Etihad will encourage you to select seats and pay for them. Unfortunately, they will provide you with a seating plan that is not identical to the aircraft.
We spent ÂŁ215 booking seats which should have had no row directly in front, meaning lots of extra legroom.
As it turned out, there was a row of seats directly in front of us, so no extra legroom.
I spent 5 days trying to contact Etihad to complain, only to be constantly put off. They would tell me to wait 24 hours and contact them again. 5 days of doing this and there was no progress whatsoever.
This is a company run by fraudsters and scammers. I had expected so much more from Etihad.

"SERVIZIO PESSIMO!!!!"
Nel mese di Febbraio ho acquistato tramite piattaforma Edreams un volo da Milano Malpensa a Seychelles con scalo a Abu Dhabi, programmato per Agosto 2023. Il giorno stesso del volo ci presentiamo all'aeroporto e riceviamo comunicazione direttamente al Gate che il volo Abu Dhabi - Seychelles è stato annullato nonostante noi non avessimo ricevuto alcuna comunicazione in merito, anzi abbiamo ricevuto tramite Edreams il riepilogo dei voli (sia di andata che di ritorno) e messaggio da Ethiad per il Check in.
Alla richiesta di assistenza rispondono che non vi sono voli alternativi nell'immediato che ci potessero proporre e facendo notare che oltre alle spese sostenute per il volo ve ne sono altre ancora per hotel, macchina, traghetti ecc rispondono che sono dispiaciuti ma non prospettano ulteriori alternative.
Mi chiedo come sia possibile che nonostante l'assenza di comunicazioni di annullamento del volo non ci sia stata alcuna collaborazione per risolvere la situazione da una compagnia affidabile (????). E' inammissibile abbandonare totalmente il passeggero con un "mi dispiace" nonostante un volo regolarmente pagato a Febbraio.
Ho inviato immediatamente mail di richiamo e mi attendo che questa venga risolta nel minor tempo possibile e non dover aspettare 45 giorni per ottenere il rimborso a me DOVUTO.

"Good flight and service but watch the extras"
No hassle, all went smoothly from booking to getting in the air and landing. Plane out was an airbus and a good flight, return flight was a Boeing and considerably louder but still didn’t change the experience. Nice friendly staff members and the buy your next seat scheme was a good option however it has also driven the scores down from 4* to 3. I initially had premium economy which I paid slightly more for, as the departure time approached, around 48 hours before they notified me I had been accepted for the empty seat next to me which I paid something like £50 for. Issue is they didn’t return my funds for premium economy and I was moved back to economy. It’s in the small print that they can do that but morally I think it’s not worth loosing a returning customer so to gain the extra £100 in extras they have lost a customer who would have paid a lot more to fly with them again.

they will overbook their flights and kick us out, happened to me this August and happened to my sister last year. never with Ethihad again. They didn't give any type of compensation.
