"Horrible customer service"
Horrible customer service - web staff advised laptop was fine to be checked in, which was permissible from UK to India. However, on the return journey, despite having a confirmation for the same, I was asked to carry it in my hand. And although I explained I had a medical reason for not being able to carry any cabin bag and hence I wouldn't be able to carry the laptop as part of my hand luggage, no provision or exception was made despite telling the staff that my laptop was turned off. Showing them the confirmation from web staff that the laptop was permissible as part of checked in baggage was pointless. I was told the government rules couldn't be changed for anyone, and when I asked to see these rules, the staff was unable to show me anything that clearly identified a Lenovo laptop prohibited from being checked in. Writing to customer services later on, as I suffered a shoulder impairment which was later diagnosed as adhesive capsulitis as a result, despite paying for an earlier flight to avoid added transit time and further health issues, was a total waste of time. The response simply said the advice was correct and the airline is not liable for any health issues incurred as as result. This totally regarded the fact that the web chat staff had confirmed laptop check in was permissible and they themselves had asked me to save as snippet and show at the counter as confirmation if needed. Overall, appalling that I've ended up with an impaired shoulder, that now affects my day to day life and yet no response from Etihad has been provided despite asking for escalation to a senior member of staff

There is nothing less then 0 to give their service and staff, parents in law and aunty were travelling from manchester with two different booking numbers. One for my aunty and one for parents in law, at home our luggage weight was around a KG over the limit, but arrogant and selfish check in assistant weighed luggage to be over 2KG of allowance, he would not even check in my elderly 70 years aunty who had special assistance booked and with correct luggage weight as they must be checked in together even though she had separate booking. He made us all leave the queue and check in again, we removed 2 KG from our luggage next time our turn came to different check in desk this time our luggage was 4 kg under our allowance . We we’re absolutely shocked by this waiting so long in queue and we had correct luggage, I spoke with check in manager who just said it’s not our fault but MAN airport fault with luggage weight System, and he said yes first assistant made a mistake not checking in just one passenger with correct luggage allowance and separate booking. That’s it. Never ever booking eithad again in our family and never recommended!!! Total lack of empathy service and professionalism from Staff!!

"Suddenly 70 hours travel time"
I have always enjoyed travelling with Etihad, but this recent experience just isnt acceptable. While the first half of my travel from Sourtheast Asia to Germany was on schedule, the second half was rebooked to another one two days later, resulting in more than 70 hours of travel time. I got roughly ten Emails because their system kept on changing my booking (IT problem?) and when I talked to their customer service, all they said was that I am free to cancel the ticket and get a refund. How do I have to pay a fee to change my flight, while they can just change/cancel at will? Of course I had to pay much more to get another flight back home, they only reimbursed the cheap return ticket I had bought months ealier.
Won't travel with Etihad again, too risky to be at will shelved at a random country for days.

7-Tage Reise von Köln nach Dubai und dann nach Abu Dhabi:
1. 7 Tage, aber nur 5x Frühstück bekommen. Ganz schlimm bei der Ankunft morgens am Flughafen, da es im Flieger auch nix gab.
2. Im Flieger gab es nur ein Minibecherle mit Wasser, das zweite nur auf Nachfrage. Alles andere nur gegen Cash
3. Gute Hotels der "Taxi-Klasse": man kommt ohne Taxi nirgends hin + Verkehrschaos in Dubai City
4. Die Bootsfahrt auf einer Dhau ein Witz: 2 1/2 Stunden mit dem Bus über Schnellestraßen, 45 Minuten auf dem Boot, ein Döschen Cola gratis ...
5. Ballonfahrt und Rundfahrt Dubai sehr gut

Leggo molte recensioni negative, riguardanti il rimborso del volo. Evidentemente sono lamentele mirate per avere un viaggio gratis. Posso confermare che la compagnia che gli addetti sono i migliori in assoluto.

Wir haben in einem Hotel ein Zimmer reserviert für 3 Nächte.
Kommen wir an,lautet das Hotel,dass keine Bestätigung vom Hotel gab, trotzdem haben sie uns ein Zimmer gegeben.....aber das hotel hat gar keinen Euro vom Etihad Holidays bekommen & es gab jeden Tag Probleme und Stress wegen des Geldes.
Dann lautet Etihad Holidays, dass das hotel einfach uns raus schmeißen kann!!!!!!!(Frechheit)

Il y a de nombreuses années Etihad était une bonne compagnie aérienne, mais depuis quelques années c'est le naufrage total. Je rentre a peine d'un vol Bangkok-Paris, et sûrement un des pires vols de ma vie de voyageur. Avion dans un état lamentable, personnels a bord extrêmement désagréables, du retard constamment, de retard sur les 2 transfert, changement d'avion en dernière minutes, et aucune prise de responsabilités de la compagnie. C'était bien mon dernier voyage avec Etihade, et bien du courage a vos futurs "clients". Autant d'incompétence en devient admirable. Tellement de choses a dire je préfère m'arrêter la....

"My worse long haul flight ever - Wamos????"
My worse long haul flight ever! Booked Etihad (economy) to Jakarta for flight on 15th October 2023. The first leg of the flight was an Etihad plane and everything to the standard expected. The second flight was a disaster. A few days before our journey we received a message to say that the second leg would now be operated by Wamos on behalf of Etihad. We had now choice but to continue. The flight was over 8 hours long and pure torture. The seats were very small with no room to move and very uncomfortable. There was no entertainment at all. The service was terrible. The staff were rude and although there was little turbulence kept the seatbelt signs on most of the time. If anyone dared to try to get up from their confined space they were shouted at by the staff. I would never book a cheap charter plane for a long haul flight, yet I ended up on one. I received the usual Etihad questionnaire asking my about my experience (so I gave it to them in full - I said I would like to be contacted further - only silence has followed). I will never book this airline again as they cannot be trusted to deliver what they promised. We all suffered terribly from being forced to sit in such dreadful seats for more than 8 hours.
