"Failure to adhere to EU regulation"
Cancelled our Heathrow to Abu Dhabi flight due to technical issues with their plane after two hours sat onboard with no updates. EC Regulation 261/2004 stipulates that, due to us not taking off and arriving until a day later, we were due compensation of £520 per person.
Took a month to even reply and gave us as many hoops to jump through as humanly possible.

Flight got cancelled due to 'a technical error' and we were only told at boarding time after hours of confusion and speculation.
What followed was even more stressful as we tried to find our way from the airport to hotel they boarded us in. The next morning we were told we'd be flying out in the evening but the transit in Abu Dhabi would be over 13 hrs.
All in all, we arrived back in London over two days late. After many emails and calls back and forth, we were offered 200 USD each in the form of Etihad credit, no cash refund. This was unsatisfactory as we lost out on 2 full working day's income due to the delay, not to mention the overall stress. Their website stipulates 600 EURO for a case such as ours. They didn't want to budget and gave us a 'take it or leave it' attitude.
Generally, I felt a lack of care and empathy from the airline.
I'm still going to try and get my cash back as I don't want to fly with Etihad again.

"Shitty service og dårlig forretningsmoral"
Bookede i god tid og i den forbindelse bookede vi midtersædet også til særpris. Dette tillæg ville kun blive opkrævet hvis der var ledig kapacitet og servicen kunne leveres. Alle 4 fly var fuldbooket men alligevel var tillægget allerede opkrævet og vi har her 2½ måned efter hjemkomst intet hørt fra selskabet af selvom vi rettede henvendelse i Abu Dhabi lufthavnen på udturen. Her fik vi besked om at de intet kunne gøre men at vi skulle rette skriftlig henvendelse til selskabet. Det gjorde vi så da vi kom hjem efter også at konstatere at service ikke kunne leveres på hjmerejsen. Vi har stadig intet hørt fra selskabet af.
Ud af 4 flyvinger fik vi en rigtig god service på den ene af dem. Derudover var den elendig. Derfor 2 stjerner herfra. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

"Con stop over gratuito "
Hicimos dos vuelos con ellos y quedamos muy contentos. Asientos cómodos, la comida deliciosa y la atención por parte del personal impecable. Cada asiento tiene pantallas con peliculas recién estrenadas en el cine.
Además, en el viaje de ida nos regalaron dos noches de hotel en Abu Dhabi por hacer un stop over gratuito.
Desde nuestra experiencia, muy recomendable.

"Scammed by Etihad when I bought a free stopover that's now not free"
Just came from a chat with an unhelpful customer service rep. I booked my flight 14th of April 2024 and saw there was an option for a stopover. I clicked it and it showed "Free hotel for 2 nights". I was curious and chose the option as who wouldn't want to visit Abu Dhabi on a free hotel.
Today I tried to actually book the hotel and there was no free ones. I go and talk with customer services that tell me that the program of 2 free nights at an hotel on stopover had been cancelled in March (way before I first visited their website).
I said i didn't even know about this program before, I was interested in my flight destination, not really a stopover. The one and only reason I chose to do a stopover was because the website advertised it in my face.
The rep visited the website and said he didn't see anything but I sent him my link of the website which was for the Portuguese version (just switch language on the top) and that one still shows today, over a month after the program was cancelled, that you get 2 free nights at a hotel on a stopover.
He said he verified it and this was a website error and he couldn't do anything. This a blatant scam as now I'm going to have to spend even more money on my trip on a 150€ hotel for 2 nights when what I'd wish right now is to cancel everything and blacklist this company.
I even tried to compromise and try to not do a stopover at all and just flight from my destination back home just by doing a layover and not a stopver and he said i'd have to pay for the change as there's a fee. Total scam!

Etiadh se vende como una de las compañias de “alto standing” del Golfo, pero la experiencia de volar con ellos te demuestra lo lejos que está de ese status.
El confort y la comodidad así como la atención y el servicio a bordo son, siendo generoso, deficientes.
En mi caso tuve que reclamar, por indicación de su empleada en el aeropuerto, y a día de hoy tras varios correos electrónicos aún estoy esperando que me respondan.
Atención al clente pésima.
La mejor queja es que no volveré a volar con ellos.

"Sono rientrato il 4 marzo da un viaggio…"
Sono rientrato il 4 marzo da un viaggio con ETIHAD, ho trovato valigia Samsonite rotta, ho perso due ore x fare denuncia, e poi mi è stato riferito che dovevo recarmi presso un centro autorizzato x valutare danno, non riparabile e ho speso 30€ x farmi fare il preventivo, ora ETIHAD vuole risarcire con 50$,circa 48€.Considerando che per averli devo pagare circa 10€ di bolli e altro, è una vergogna. Li regalo a loro ma non userò mai più questa compagnia.

"Ausgezeichnet"
Ich bin mit Etihad am 21. April von Bahrain nach Abu Dhabi und dann von Abu Dhabi nach Culicut geflogen. Der Service war hervorragend. Das Begleitpersonal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Essen auf dem Flug von Abu Dhabi nach Culicut war sehr köstlich. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

"Une véritable honte !!"
Une véritable honte !!!
Nous avions un vol au départ de Paris pour Abu Dhabi puis une correspondance sur la même compagnie Etihad pour notre destination finale. Le vol au départ de Paris a été annulé. Nous sommes finalement arrivée 2 jours plus tard, le temps de nous replacer et nous ajouter une correspondance non prévue au passage ! Nous avons donc perdu 2 jours de prestations sur place, nuits d'hôtel etc.. Nos vacances ont été grandement impactées par cette événement.
Et voilà que plusieurs semaines après avoir déposé une réclamation, Ethiad nous annonce que le "retard" étant dû à une circonstance hors de leur contrôle nous n'aurions AUCUNE compensation : une collision d'oiseaux ! Motif bien pratique pour ne pas avoir à indemniser des voyageurs. 2 jours de voyage perdus et un vol non remboursés. C'est lamentable je n'ai jamais vu un tel mépris pour ses propres clients. La compagnie n'assume pas ses responsabilité et fait preuve d'une malhonnêteté sans nom !
Fuyez Etihad, si vous avez un problème il se défile sans aucune honte ! Pour ma part je ne prendrais plus jamais cette compagnie.

"Worst customer service of the industry"
My flight from Geneva to Abu Dhabi on Friday 8th March 2024 was cancelled due to a technical problem, so I decided to get a refund and to travel with another airline. On 10th March 2024, I raised a claim for a refund and for indemnisations, case 2403104088808.
Despite their commitment to reply within 30 days, despite the Swiss regulations and despite my calls to their service center, I haven't received an email since.
Such a poor customer service, from an airline that pretends to be a world class leader, is simply unacceptable. Even low cost airlines have better customer service than Etihad.
Avoid Etihad at all costs !
26/05/2024 : Update, things are getting worse.
After 2,5 months of fighting over emails, I thought I had managed to get the refund, but they've only proceed half of it, i.e. for one ticket only instead of two (my wife and I were travelling together on the same flight, same booking number, same case).
This customer service is a joke, or more seriously, they have instructions to delay payments.
