"Disgraceful customer service beware"
I am a silver member with Etihad and in March booed 4 flights with them. Because I am a silver member I could choose my seats for free, but my husband had to pay to choose his seats so that we were seated together. So that's what he did he paid 4 different charges for the seat next to me, but then Etihad decided to move us on the aircraft which meant we were separated for all 4 flights. When we returned from our trip I wrote a complaint email to Etihad to get a refund for the cost of his seats. The intial email was on the 14th March I got an email back saying a case had been created, since then I have made dozens of phone calls and written numerous complaint emails and still nothing has been sorted. They don't reply to emails, they promise call back and NOTHING. The customer service is disgusting. I am at my wits end they won't put me through to the complaints department and they keep maing false promises. Disgusting I don't now how to make them reply to me.
It is now the 17th September and still NO REFUND from Etihad on an online chat yesterday they asked for me to wait a further 72 hours its an absolute joke. Disgraceful company AVOID

A EVITAR si no quieres quedarte sin maleta.
Es en los detalles que se la juegan las malas y las buenas compañías. Etihad entra dentro de las malas. En nuestro vuelo de regreso el 17/04/24, al recoger nuestro equipaje, una de las maletas apareció rota, los tiradores de la cremallera estaban arrancados y la maleta estaba abierta, ha quedado totalmente inservible. Realizamos la reclamación correspondiente. La respuesta de Etihad fue que ellos consideran que es un daño menor y que no se hacen responsable, es decir, para ellos dejar una maleta totalmente inutilizable es un daño menor. A pesar de que existen convenios internacionales para las aerolíneas donde son obligadas a hacerse responsables del equipaje que tienen bajo su responsabilidad, Etihad se niega en bloque en compensar los danos ocasionados por su negligencia. Para nosotros es un NUNCA MAS pues su política hacia los pasajeros está muy lejos de su mentira de considerarse una de las mejores compañías aéreas.

Without doubt the worst airline in the world. Ten years ago I had several terrible experiences in a row, so I complained in great detail but got no response from the airline. I was so angry I gave +/- 250,000 Etihad air miles to charity and told the CEO I had done so. No response. A few days ago I made the mistake of thinking they may have improved over the years. I was wrong. They are worse. So bad I can't even be bothered to waste my time writing about it. Just fly another airline. Any other airline. Or walk. Or take a bus. Or stay at home. Don't subject yourself to Etihad for any reason.

First, I traveled from London to Japan return. Before 24 hours online check in after you choose a seats they also need pay for the seats. I used many airlines this is the first time 24 hours online check in need money for the seats. If you don’t want pay it, you need waiting 4 hours or go to airport to take the tickets. But if you need in somewhere transfer you never enough time to online choose your seats.
Second, when you buy the tickets website said join the club to get free WiFi for the trip. When I login on the plane, the WiFi just chat only. Other need pay money again. Everything just ask customer pay money. If you don’t want free WiFi, write clear to customer.
Last, this is the worst thing when I finlish my trip. We arrived the airport before 3 hours. In front of us about 60 people. But about 1 hour just move less than 10 persons. Near Korean airline just 15 minutes finlish all 50 peoples and no one need waiting to check in. At the last I wait about 100 minutes to check in. After inside near the plane start on boarding. I early to arrived but they make us near miss the plane. Ask the staff just said follow the queued enough time.
This airline experience is the worst. I will not choose it anymore. Hope you use this airline before must thinking.

Alles bestens, super pünktlich sehr freundlich und Essen sehr gut. Entgegen anderer Meinungen hatten wir ein sehr gutes Erlebnis und im Vergleich zu anderen Gesellschaften hat Etihad am besten abgeschnitten. Vielen Dank

wie dann die Flüge anuliert werden !

über die Schlichtungsstelle !!!
Nehmt ne andere Airline spart Ihr Euch den Ärger.

Après avoir fait une réservation Abu Dhabi Paris/ Paris Abu Dhabi avec supplément bagages pour les 2 vols, j ai du changer ma date de départ et payer un supplément… ok.
Lorsque je reçois mon nouveau E ticket il n’y a plus de bagages pour le retour. Cela fait 2 mois que j’appelle Etihad pour leurs exposer le problème et qu’ils me remettent le bagage… rien à faire ils me disent que le superviseur est en reunion( tous les jours depuis plus de 15j) et qu’une enquête est en cours…. Ils font une erreur mais ne veulent pas le reconnaître et surtout ne font rien pour régler celui ci
UNE HONTE!!!!!!!!!!
Plus jamais je ne prendrais cette compagnie surtout qu Air France fait maintenant les vols direct Abu Dhabi.

Vlucht geboekt van 18 juni tm 31 juli naar KL.
Betaling in orde, €668,- afgeschreven. Echter geen mails ontvangen met de boeking.
Volgende dag gebeld met custom service, fijn en sociale mensen. Echter konden ze me niet verder helpen. Dienstdoende manager Mohamed gesproken. Situatie uitgelegd. Geeft aan een nieuwe boeking te doen, ticketprijzen opgeschroefd naar €730,- en vertrekken vanaf 20 juni.
2 vakantiedagen weg en €62,- duurder, manager zou kijken of hij een refund of een upgrade kon regelen. Dit is tot op heden niet gebeurd. Vanaf 1 mei iedere week gemaild voor een update, maar tevergeefs.

"Interrogated by Etihad staff at Melbourne Airport for having a wheelchair"
On 26th April 2024, I was travelling from Melbourne to London via Etihad. For this flight, I'd specifically requested wheelchair assistance to help me through the terminals and board the plane.
The airport ground staff wheeled me to the Eithad booking desk, where an Eithad desk worker started heavily quizzing me about why I needed assistance, what was wrong with me, and what was going on.
Firstly, your staff need customer service training. This is a disgusting way to speak to a paying customer, and secondly, it is NONE of her business what happened for me to need assistance. This line of questioning is incredibly insulting.
Unfortunately, she made me feel like I was under significant pressure to answer her questions, so I explained I'd sustained a grade II muscle tear in my left hamstring and right calf and was temporarily incapable of walking more than short distances, therefore I prebooked special assistance. She then began to say I might not be able to fly and needed 'cabin crew final confirmation' before I got on the flight. Like what the hell is this all about? Eithad has a duty of care and a legal obligation to provide assistance for people with reduced mobility!!!
I told her you have people who can't walk on your planes all the time, what is the issue here? The airline PROVIDES wheelchair assistance for these such cases. I had no idea what the problem was. She kept saying she needed to ensure I was 'safe in case of an emergency landing'. At this point, I'd been travelling for half a day from Sydney and had a very long flight home to London... I literally began crying out of sheer desperation and anger. I told her, I NEED to go home. It genuinely felt like she was trying to obstruct me from getting on the plane, and if I was one wrong answer away from being put in a detention zone. She told me to wait while the cabin crew arrived.
This woman left me on an airport seat for an hour. When they came she said, oh sorry yeah you're free to board the plane. That was it. Barely any apology! I was extremely upset by how I was treated by Etihad and will be taking matters further.
Avoid this airline at all costs.

"Fight for a refund - awful airline "
One of the people on the booking had to cancel her fight. It’s been a nightmare trying to get a refund. They originally said 45 days before she received the refund, then when queried stated 45 working days. Still no refund after that period of time and when using online chat they just say they will escalate and wait a few weeks until you contact them again. Do not use Etihad, the flights are no better than budget airlines and the customer service is awful.
