"Etihad travel account evaporated our credit"

After flights were being uprooted during Covid, Etihad did not refund the money but put approx US$ 1000+ in their Travel Bank. Their proposal and we agreed to that. We could never use it and then without warning they just stopped this Travel Bank and evaporated our credit. So far, all communication is fruitless . The customer service gives you an email address that does not work: feedback at etihad.ae . when you email your case here you get an automatic reply that you have to contact: etihad com / en /help/ feedback but that never works . I have the feeling that the customer service people want to help , but do not have the means to do so. Everything loops back and you end where you started - a return ticket let’s say without even leaving your home-. The crazy thing is that we want to use this balance to fly to Abu Dhabi for a logistics conference. We simply want to use our own credit for that. It is not right to just evaporate someone’s credit without a prior warning . Just a mail saying:' please be aware your Travel Bank account will be cancelled if you do not use it before ; date. Would have been a nice thing to do. The Question is: how to use the credit on a Travel Account from Etihad?

"Booked a flight that was scheduled to…"

Booked a flight that was scheduled to leave abu dhabi at 9:20am and arrive at Doha at 9:20am.
Etihad just went and changed it to 2:15am. Taking the changed flight would get me stranded at the Doha airport in the early hours of morning.
Being a foreigner and woman, the flight would be most inconvenient and might even be dangerous.
On top of that, I had already booked a hotel for the night before, which I would lose.

What kind of airline changes the schedule of a flight by more than 7 hours? Never heard of it happening to other international airlines. Etihad certainly doesn't live up to the international standard.

Mi risponde un operatore a dir poco scocciato, cerco di spiegare e “ fuori onda “ dice a un collega “ ecco un altro rompicoglione “.
Pazzesco mai visto e sentito una cosa del genere …. Chiesto di ripetermi il proprio nome mi ha chiuso la telefonata

"Im writing this review to ease my mind…"

Im writing this review to ease my mind after 2 months of stress ( actually 4) . I booked my flight on Booking.com , the flight was for the 18 th of December return and unbeknown to me they cancelled it and put me on the flight the day before, no one asked me if that was ok, I had an expensive hotel booked to splash out a couple of nights before I returned, it took me over a week to get a free change when someone ( either side) took responsibility. I flew on the 19 th which cost me additional hotel etc. I got to Heathrow on the first flight with 2 hours till my flight to Abu Dhabi, at presentation of my boarding card an alarm rung and I was directed to an assistant, she asked how many bags I had I said one , I kinda guessed it wasn’t on board so I asked her and she lied to me saying it was. Got to Mumbai no case, I waited almost 5 days with very little info. On arrival in Portugal I realised my locks had been forced open obviously by the Indian customs, cost me 200 euros to repair( Rimowa) . I was sent a survey and I gave a very low score so much so someone called me , told me I would be contacted again ( still waiting) I had also given feedback on 2 separate issues the bag delay and one separate for the bad pre flight boarding experience. I was eventually offered 198 euros for the clothes toilet stuff I needed over a month ago, the link is broken keeps giving error and I’ve even asked my brother to try on his , just the same. I’ve spent so much money on phone calls , emails and time trying to get someone to take my details manually so I can get the money but every single customer service baggage department ( Mr Ahmed ) lie and fob me off. I would like to get this sorted out asap , I’m a tour guide with an excellent plus review on customer service so I’m very au fait with what it should be. I have never flown with Etihad before and o would have to be desperate to do so again. Fight fight fight to get what is yours. 2312193962383 Is my case number. Please sort this out or I will post this on every review site.

"A Disheartening Experience with Etihad Airways – Avoid at All Costs"

I recently traveled with Etihad Airways and it was an experience I urge others to avoid. The airline demonstrated a complete lack of responsibility and accountability, especially in handling my baggage and providing accurate information. My stroller was mishandled and returned in an unacceptable state, and one of my bags was severely damaged. The customer service was consistently poor and unhelpful, leading to unnecessary stress and inconvenience. This is not the level of service one expects from a reputed airline. My case number with them is 2403044079972, and despite formal complaints, the response has been inadequate. Etihad used to symbolize quality and customer care, but my recent experience suggests they have significantly deviated from these values. I strongly recommend choosing alternative airlines for your travel needs.

"Inflight entertainment didn’t work, no compensation"

The inflight entertainment didn’t work for our 18 hour flight and when I complained they told us we don’t qualify for any sort of compensation. Their words “I would like to inform you that and in line with Conditions of Carriage Article 12.1.3, we do not make any guarantees about the availability of in-flight entertainment, advertised duty free products, and other services. In this regard, this case does not qualify for compensation.”

"Unpleasant Ground Staff"

The Etihad Kochi ground staff (A17) made my Christmas day miserable. When I sought assistance from any available managers to clarify my doubts, they refused me abruptly.
Etihad normally sends a feedback form for every flight, but they even ignored me for that particular flight. However, I submitted feedback through their website and finally received a response after two months.

"Watch out for this issue while booking "

We recently made a time-critical booking via Etihad, and it only put us through unnecessary stress.

1. The amount was deducted from my account when we booked, but we did not get any email about our booking.
2. We contacted Etihad customer service, and they gave a PNR number and asked us to wait five days for an email confirmation. The PNR worked so we waited.
3. Two days later, we checked the flight status using the PNR number, and the booking details were missing this time.
4. We called customer service again, and they raised a case and asked us to wait for a callback.
5. We received no callback, so we called again after waiting for a day.
6. This time, the customer service personnel said that the booking got cancelled, and the amount that appears in my bank statement is a soft charge that should be reverted back to my account.
7. They now, after five days of no proper response, asked us to rebook once we reached out after waiting for a response from Etihad. The ticket prices increased threefold by then.

It is frustrating that Etihad did not inform us on time about the issue with the booking. Just a simple email would have made it easier for us. Even after knowing that the issue was due to their software, Etihad did nothing to solve the issue. Neither did they take responsibility to make sure this does not repeat in the future.
