"Unhappy customer with a defective bed."

SEE BOTTOM FOR UPDATE:

We have had the bed for 8 months now and the bed is literally just an air mattress with minimal padding on top. The bed is very firm and if I lower the settings to make the bed “softer” the mattress sinks in and I can feel the hard bed frame on the other side of the mattress. I’m still experiencing back pain so for the cost, over $7k to be exact, I’m extremely disappointed.
Also, the head/foot lifting mechanism on one side of the bed stopped working 3 months ago. We reached out to the company and we were given instructions on how to “troubleshoot”. We followed the directions we were given, which didn’t work, and so we have to assume that it’s a mechanical issue. They have yet to send someone out to take a look at the bed. We regret this purchase 100%.

12/06/21: Personal Comfort responded to my review on 11/22/21. I provided all of my information to them including my order number and they have yet to reach out. This whole experience has been such a joke.

"Scammy marketing"

I have not received my mattress yet but my review at this point is based upon their marketing. There was a pop up that kept coming up that stated if you entered your phone number and email special discounts were available only by phone. I entered the info and immediately received a call. The gentleman who called stated that the bed I wanted to purchase was already discounted (as all the beds are) and all he could do was offer a $50 discount. I emailed him after my purchase and he stated that he would have to rewrite the order and apparently I need to be involved. Maybe it shouldn’t bother me but seems scammy and small time for a reputable company. Especially when spending $3500 on a mattress. Considered canceling my order but hoping the product is better than marketing and customer service thus far in the process. Also hard to tell if you are shopping for a sleep number or personal comfort on their website. I wish they would focus more on their products rather than constant, in your face comparisons. I will update after receiving the mattress.

Update 11-30-21

No mattress yet and no communication from the company. No updates at all...order was placed on Nov. 14th. Also, if you will notice the reply from the company, I would be happy to show them my order confirmation if there was a way to reply to them on here. I suppose they just have too many customers with my name to look the order up.

UPDATE:

Resolved, it took a bad review to get resolution but the mattress finally came and they issued a small credit for the inconvenience. Love the bed and would be a 5 star rating if customer service/communication were better.

I didn't want to write a review since we do not have our bed yet. Each week for the last 4 weeks our bed was to be delivered and was not. I was able to reach out and talk to staff but with no change in delivery. I would not normally mind but i have no bed to sleep in for a couple months and have family coming in for the holiday and my living area and dining area is my bedroom.

I called to get instructions on flipping our mattress topper over. The lady that helped me gave easy to follow instructions and made it an easy process. I was a bit overwhelmed before calling. So far we have been very pleased with our bed (after sleeping on a waterbed for 41 years) and customer service when we’ve reached out for help. ❤️

I love the bed!! Great communication! Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the deay in delivering. With Covid they could have been short staffed.

"At last, a good night's sleep"

It is a joy to be truly comfortable again. We had a different air number bed years ago which finally deflated after a long life. My husband then decided to try a big name foam mattress. We both suffered with it for years. So when it was time for a new bed, we ordered the Personal Comfort.
We both watched the YouTube presentation many times and when the boxes arrived we put the bed together easily. As we finished we noticed the paper saying not to unzip the cover completely (after we had), but no problem zipping it up. Also, the motor box did not have the tested sticker on the side as the presentation said it would, but it seems to work fine. Maybe time for a new presentation?
We are both sleeping very well now. Thank you Personal Comfort!
