What a fantastic service you and your staff gave us - who'd of believed -
placing our orders at the Caravan Show on the 17th October 2017 at
approximately 10:15am and taking delivery of our Protec custom made covers on the 18th October 2017 at 11:35am the very next day.

We are waiting until the weekend to clean the vans and then cover them for the winter. I will review our fitting experience and of course the covers after the weekend. (Not that we are expecting any problems, as we have friends who also have your covers)

.... it's been a long journey, but we got there ! After my previous 1* review, Protech contacted me. Dave undertook to sort out the problems of the previous 2 months and sorted out a 24 hour turnaround of the returned cover.

The running light windows have been stitched into the towing cover as I marked it up and the cover now fits perfectly.

So thank you Protech for expediting this for me and I'm very happy with the quality of the product. I hope you have seen that there are weaknesses in your customer service and ordering system ? Nothing that a session of staff development can't solve.

Perhaps a checklist for anyone taking orders? What about reviewing orders weekly and contacting customers to update them? Communication is the key here.

Excellent product and brilliant customer service. I cannot fault Protec, our made to measure caravan cover fits perfectly and their unique pole system makes it very easy to put the cover on and take it off.

"Damaged due to wear and tear after 16 months and 7 outings"

I emailed Protec covers today as three weeks ago on arriving in North Devon we noticed that the bottom blue side panels of our tailored towing cover were showing signs of wear and had split in places. We have had the cover 16 months and have made 7 trips using the cover in what I would consider normal travelling conditions. Protec have replied and although they have apologised, they state that this is down to wear and tear. Not sure what we should have done differently. Their reply stated that they could initiate a patching repair at a cost to myself. I would have expected that the cover would have lasted us at least 5 years or more as at over £140 it was not a cheap item especially if they need to be replaced every 16 months or so. It is such a shame that this experience has left us with a sour taste as up until this time we had been really pleased with the product at protecting our caravan front.

Very pleased with the cover for my motorhome which was required as the vehicle is parked under some mature trees. I went for Protec after researching the market - the lead time when I ordered was about five weeks which I take to be a favourable measure of the level of demand for their products. I provided the required photos and measurements with the order, with some trepidation because they revealed that the actual dimensions of the vehicle were not what I had read in the vehicle manufacturer's specs. Anyway, the cover fitted perfectly, including the tailored access for the side door which proves very useful. The quality of material and workmanship were up to the mark and the cover looks suitably durable. I was pleased that I included the "Easy Fit System" to my order as the cover is quite a heavy load to draw over a high standing vehicle. Even with the helpful Protec video tutorial, the first time of fitting was a bit of a learning experience but we achieved it in a calm and orderly fashion. With the most helpful customer service from Kimberley added to the mix, I am delighted that I chose Protec.

My review is a absolutely honest one. Having spoken to many seasoned caravanning associate's over the years and subsequently starting out as complete novice's this time last year in our opinion there was indeed only one cover manufacturer for us of course Pro-Tec. In October 2016 we duly purchased our very first touring caravan, due to it's enormous size having immediately contacted Pro-Tec as luck would have it at the time there was a qualifying bonus show offer on to get the "Easy-Fit System" included in the price plus this was strongly recommended because of the enormous caravan. The cover was ordered there and then with an acceptable lead time. Unfortunately upon arrival & inspection attempting to fit the brand new bespoke cover for the very first time only to find it had not been made correctly having been dispatched without the added benefit of Easy-Fit rear end obviously making it extremely difficult to put on in fact it took 3 people instead of 2. Reporting this to Pro-Tec straight away only to be greeted with a totally unacceptable response being told in no uncertain terms the new incorrectly made cover would have to be altered. Not acceptable.................................. Having had cause to contact Pro-Tec for a slightly different matter although related, some considerable months down the line I have to say the customer service I received from this day forward could not have been more different not only was the newly raised issue however minor handled and dealt with without any problem whatsoever by Kimberley. Additionally with much perseverance between myself, Kimberley and now the involvement of Dave a complete & satisfactory outcome has been achieved with a replacement cover that not only fit's beautifully but was of course much easier to put on with the benefit of the "Easy-Fit" back end.

Had issue with order took longer than was told therefore could not cover caravan over last winter 2016 just used it for this winter brilliant cover fits like a glove only problem on pulling cover over one of the poles snapped but managed to pull it over well please emaild protect yesterday got a reply next day with apologies and sending out new poles to me you can't get better service than that well pleased thank you

In 2012 I purchased a Protec full cover for our twin axle touring caravan.
In the past 5 years the cover has been used every season between 3 months to 9 months before removing. Keeps the van clean and dry.
Was a top line cost product that I thought about before buying it, but in hind sight a valued purchase.
Summer 2017 and I split a seem on the access door panel when opening.
I emailed Protec and Dave O'Brien responded quickly, I sent the cover back and the seem was repaired. The cover was delivered back to me within 2 weeks. How's that for service ?
We will be selling our van to downsize next year and I will be buying a Protec cover for the new van. Why ?? Quality fabric, great fit and 10/10 customer service. As the saying goes 'You get what you pay for'
