"I had occasion to contact Protec Covers …"

I had occasion to contact Protec Covers to request that they carry out repairs to my towing cover which got damaged on a French Motorway Peage Stall.
Dave O'Brien, at Protec had me return the cover to their workshop (free of charge) and just one week later I have now received the repaired item back in all but new condition, and at no cost to me. I could not be more pleased.
What great service!! On this performance I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

Very impressed with my Pro Tec cover very easy to fit and remove from my 25 foot Swift twin axle caravan and the cover keeps the caravan nice and clean. Would recommend the Pro Tec Cover to any caravan or motor home owner.

"Caravan cover. When we ordered our caravan cover alarm …"

When we ordered our caravan cover alarm bells rang because of the many questions regarding size of caravan. I was told they had all patterns. Received cover within 3 weeks. Upon fitting cover found to be 2" short in length and 2" short in height. Phoned Protec the following day and sent photos showing the problem, was told that someone from quality control would be in contact. I heard nothing for 3 days so phoned again and was told photos had not arrived, sent again and they acknowledged receipt, after we phoned again to check. Three weeks have passed with no contact from them. Totally regret dealing with this company and cannot understand how they are still trading with their appalling customer service.

My experience with Protec was very positive..from ordering my front towing cover and the timescale in receiving my order was very quick & efficient.
Customer service team were extremely polite & consciencious in dealing with a query i had. Staff went over and above to ensure a solution was found both quickly and within the timescale of delivery in meeting my requirements.Thank you I would definately recommend to others.

"Good product that arrived earlier than …"

Good product that arrived earlier than the four week lead time initially advised. Fitted well with the exception of the clear section for the solar panel. Resolved promptly by customer services.
Fits well and seems to be doing a great job keeping the caravan clean. I washed and polished the van before the cover went on when I took it off the van was just as clean as when I first put it on.

"Very slow, no acknowledgement of delays"

Very slow, non responce to e mails. Nobody who can actually give correct information in the office. When asked for a copy of the drawings for the roof area to confirm for solar panels non available even though it was supposed to go into production. Would you pay for something if you couldnt ensure that the layout was correct. Months to even get to this stage from the original order. Now waiting for someone in charge to return phone call. It might happen.

"Front Cover Issue"

Recently purchased a bespoke front cover for our new van from PRO TEC , unfortunately after a few times used we noticed a small tear in one of the side covers. I took a photo and sent it off ,not really expecting much , but the response was superb. No quibbles , and new sides were sent within the next week ! Fantastic responce , great customer service, All lot of other companies could learn from this level of service !

"Custom Made Towing Cover"

I ordered a custom made towing cover online on 25 April 2017.
The following day a customer care operator phoned to confirm the correct caravan manufacturer and year. She quoted 17 May as delivery. I took possession on 09 May which is great service.
I highlighted a small problem with the cover. Dave O’Brian of customer care had the cover uplifted, resolved and shipped back within four days.
I find that a service anyone would be proud to advertise. regards Ossie

"I recently bought a generic towing cover."

I recently bought a generic towing cover from this company, I was asked the exact make, model & age of the caravan when I ordered at the beginning of March so they could supply the right generic cover. The cover came with a DIY kit to fit clear lens for the running lights (I was made aware at the time of ordering it would come with a light fitting kit). When it arrived there was a problem with the location of the lights and the seams of the cover that made it impossible to fit the DIY lights.I telephoned Protec and spoke to the new customer services guy called 'Dave' who although new to the company had a good knowledge of the product and very helpful. We exchanged a few emails with pictures and sizes etc. As I only live about 30 miles away from the factory I was invited if I wished to visit the factory with my cover to discuss what could be done to resolve the issue. I took him up on this offer.
This is the point I need to add that the factory isn't that big, hence that will be why sometimes the delivery times as excessive. We laid the cover on a big table and the decision was made was for Protec to custom fit me some light lens as a one off as a gesture of good will. I was more than happy with this offer. Even though it had cost me to go to the factory in Bradford I would end up with custom lights so no DIY kit needed. Not a problem with myself.
Looking at the previous reviews there are quite a few negatives and Dave is aware of these, some are justified and he is doing his best to turn around the customer service. So from my experience, i have to give Protec credit for resolving my problem in a timely manner. Definitely use again.

"Full cover is not waterproof as …"

Full cover is not waterproof as claimed. Infact the cover allows water through, then retains it for a prolonged period. The cover maywell be breathable however the process is so long winded my caravan is covered in mould moss and algae. Covers are not fit for purpose. Currently awaiting a decision from Protec as to why
