"Towing Cover for Swift Caravan"

I recently contacted Protec Covers and spoke to a very helpful gentleman, i was looking for a quick turnaround on a towing cover after recently purchasing our first caravan. He managed to achieve a very quick turnaround and i took delivery 2 days later of the correct towing cover which fits perfectly. I would have no hesitation based on my experience to recommend this company, products and very helpful staff who kept their promise. "my first choice everytime"

after having my first Protec cover vandalised I urgently needed a replacement. I placed the order on line and received a phonecall from them a few days later to confirm the make of my van. I explained my problem and that I needed the new cover before my long trip. I was promised the new cover for the day before I left and true to their word the new covered arrived. really impressed with the quality of covers and their customer service is second to none. would not hesitate to recommend them.

"A long running saga but we got there in the end!"

We have had a bit of a long running saga with our Pro-tec motorhome cover over the past 10 months and report as follow:-

We initially place our order in November 2016 for our Adria Coral motorhome. We were told a few weeks later that there was a production delay but this was no great issue to us as we were in no hurry for the cover.
In January 2017 there was still no definitive delivery date and we were then told that the delay was due to the lack of supply of our chosen material colour [blue].
We were asked if we would like to change the colour to either grey or green as they were readily available.
But having waited this long, we decided to stick with the blue.
Eventually, in March 2017, the cover arrived and it fitted reasonable well apart from the overcab area where the “profile” was wrong & baggy.
We sent some photos to Pro-tec and they agreed that the front area was incorrect and asked for the cover to be returned.
As we were actually travelling close to Bradford in May, we opted to call at their works to return the cover and to have our motorhome measured rather than relying on their templates.
On the return of the adapted cover in June 2017, it was instantly apparent that the adjustments had been too drastic and the cover was “skin tight” and unacceptable.
Dave O’Brien was profusely apologetic and arranged to have the cover collected and to adapt the cover again or to start afresh.
In August 2017 a totally new cover arrived and this was a much better fit.
So we were happy.
But then, when leveling up the side drops, a door hold back strap was tugged too hard & the seam split. It was our fault & nothing to do with Pro-tec.
On seeing the photos of the damage, Dave asked us to return the cover to them for a proper repair – all at their cost.
So, whilst our experience of Pro-tec has been a bit of a saga, and they admit that they have had communication & production issues in the past, they now seem to have got their “house in order”. The quality of the cover itself is good so, on that basis & the fact that Pro-tec have responded positively, we would recommend them.

The cover that i received for my Mercedes IH J220 Motorhome fitted perfectly and is easy to put on. The quality of the materials and workmanship is excellent. Well done Protec - one happy customer!

"Waste of space"

ordered a full cover at Manchester show in January 2017.Told them we had a solar panel on the roof and a cycle rack on the back of our Swift caravan.It arrived May/June too short for the cycle rack and no clear piece for the solar panel.Returned it and measurements for the panel,later told production manager has had an accident,when he returns we are priority.When you phone Dave O'Brien is always out and never responds to e-mail.My advise would be to buy from someone else.

I would definitely recommend Protec caravan Covers.
I did have an issue with one of the side panels nearly 8 months on, and there was no hesitation in getting a replacement sent out straight away. It was so nice to deal with a company with excellent customer relations and to be treated as a person. It shows that the product that they produce is of a good quality and they supply this with a good back up and no delays in replying to emails.
I would also recommend anyone with a Caravan to get one of these covers as its great to arrive at a site without the caravan covered in Bugs etc.

"Excellent service"

Excellent service. Original purchase arrived quicker than expected, probably by about 3 or 4 weeks. Then when I had an issue due to my own incompetence, Kimberley Banks was extremely understanding and resolved the issue quickly, efficiently and in a very understanding and friendly way. "Service beyond good …"

I cannot fault the towing cover that was purchased to stop my tractor [Shogun] covering the front of the caravan with mud and flies when travelling it has saved umpteen washes.
Sad to say some tealeaf decided to steal one of the bungees off the van while in its storage compound, I contacted the company to ask if I could purchase a replacement and received an e-mail stating that the items would be sent free of charge, that is true service from a company I would highly recommend, and when my towing cover does give up the ghost I will purchase a replacement without a second thought.

We bought our cover in April 2017. It was exactly as discribed. During a storm soon after one of the corner protection pads blew away.
I made an enquiry about a replacement and Protec sent a set of the pads free as a good will gesture. Excellent service and communication throughout.

"This company for me has been the most …"

This company for me has been the most difficult experience to have the misfortune to deal with. After returning a front cover as requested, after sustaining damage to the front of our caravan.
Then requesting some months later, what progress has been made, the denied ever receiving it.
Only after me proving delivery by way of Parcel post, did they admit it was delivered.
It then took several more months to receive a reply.
I was informed they would renumerate the cost of postage, which has not occurred.
This company has constantly ignored any communication, not someone I would ever want to deal with ever again
