"Excellent Customer service from Dubarry"

Donna Moore Customer service advisor for Dubarry can't thank enough!!!!

Bought a pair of Fastnet Dubarry boots back in January 2021. I wanted to treat my self to a good pair of boots for a Sailing trip to Scotland. On the trip the boots suffered toe wear on the material. I brought this to Dubarrys attention to consider looking at the material. Dubarry said they would need to look at the boots but deck wear was part of sailing. I was expecting better wear but as the boots where still waterproof I did not return them but did e mail photographs as proof detailing my concerns. I have to say Donna has been fantastic looking into this for me. I didn't take any further action.

Come August I was covering a regatta and the boots started to leak. I found my original receipt and contacted Wetsuit outlet the online retailer I had bought the boots from and have to say they where fantastic. I also contacted Dubarry.

I had several e mails going back and fourth between my self and Donna Moore. I offered to return the boots and sent more photographs.

Donna advised me not to return the boots and offered a refund. I said I wanted a replacement pair of boots and would pay any shortfall. I can't express my thanks and gratitude at DPD delivered me a new pair of Dubarry boots. Can't thank Donna enough excellent company to deal with five star customer service excellent!!!!!

I can not tell you how good Dubarry customer service is. They’ll do their best to satisfy any customer worries. They certainly went above and beyond to sort my problem out. Thank you Penny and Donna

"Dubarry Ultima sailing boots"

I was the owner of what I thought was the premier sailing boots but alas no.
I purchased a new pair of Ultima sailing boots and after 4-5 years of very and I mean very light wear the soles fell off while out sailing. I contacted DUBARRY customer service and got absolutely no satisfaction at all.
These boots could of cost me my life if the soles had got caught up in ropes while sailing alone.
I was told more or less that this is to be expected and that the rubber disintegrated I would of thought that wearing out would of been a better option.
Not a premier product of premier customer service.

The gesture of goodwill just doesn't cut it. I explained that I hadn't had the boots for 13 years and that perhaps I was sold old stock and that the amount of wear was minimal but they still haven't acknowledged that their product is manufactured to sub standard considering it supposed to be a premier product.

Since this debacle I have had friends who have had the same problem and sort answers at the Southampton boat show but was told the same as me.

DONT TOUCH DUBARRY WITH A BARGE POLE UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY.

I'm eagerly awaiting the answers from trading standardsand possibly the ombudsman if I can contact one

"Shocking Customer Service3"

I'm so disappointed by the 'help' I received from Dubarry's customer service team. I bought Dubarry sailing boots as I thought I would be receiving a premier quality product and after barely four years they have began to leak. I messaged the repair team in the hopes of having them fixed and was told there is no facility to do so. Firstly, I was so disappointed that these very expensive boots broke in such a short lifespan. But to not provide any form of help to repair them is shocking! Am I correct to assume that I must continue to wear these rather expensive leaking boots or purchase another pair and hope they don’t do the same?

I’m a bit disappointed that such a world renowned sailing brand doesn’t have some form of a repair service. I mean it seems such a waste of money and materials. So much for sustainability I guess.

I’ve read few reviews online that claim to avoid the ultimas at all cost. Perhaps I might have to look elsewhere for my next pair.

"Please do not waste your money"

Purchased shorts, initially sizes were 3 " too large. Within one week stitching came undone in several places. You can not charge premium brand price and deliver poor quality. In my opinion this is close on fraud!

"Leaking!!!!!!!"

I bought my Dubarry boots 3 years ago and they have cracked on the flex point and are leaking. They cost £379. This price I felt I could justify as they would last years. I should have read the reviews before I bought them as I see now with 74% bad reviews that I made a HUGE mistake. My husband bought a pair also but fortunately (which seems an odd thing to say) his leaked after 10 months at the same point as mine so he was able to get a new pair under warranty. All we have both done is walk the dog over relatively flat terrain. I will never buy another pair and certainly will not recommend them. Get your act together Dubarry. Cannot believe you are happy with your review status on Trustpilot

"Hugely Disappointed In This So-Called Quality Brand"

I bought a pair of Dubarry boots 8 years ago from my local stockist and paid £300 for them. I was impressed by the fact that they were shown in a display of running water - totally waterproof! Wow! That convinced me. Soon after, I suffered chronic heart failure, couldn't walk far at all, and eventually had a heart transplant. I returned to exercise and last year bought a dog. So out of 8 years, I'd say my boots have had regular use for 18 months. Both boots let water in, and on one the rubber has cracked and the leather has come away at the seam with the sole. I took them to my stockist who told me to send them to Dubarry for assessment, paying international postage and packing. I'd prefer not to risk good money after bad, and instead will buy a different brand. I cannot recommend the use of Dubarry boots for practical wear, such as dog walking.

The company contacted me asking for my reference number...but my review states I bought the boots 8 years ago. They also reminded me the boots are covered under warranty for 1 year. Both of these I know. There was no invitation to discuss the problem. I've resorted to Stormsure glue which the retailer (Thomas Bell of Brigg) recommended, saying that leaking is often a problem with these boots!

"Absolute tat - for show only."

Absolute tat. Over £200 for a pair of boots, used for a few months being well looked after using their care kit (I stupidly bought) and they fell apart within a few months . Bought my wife another pair for some stupid reason and they did the same but even quicker. Sent them to Dubarry and they ‘inspected them ‘. Outcome=our fault as apparently they shouldn’t be used in horse stables ( a few time a week for just over a month) as even if using their care kit, the wee in the straw will disintegrate their boots within a month. Only a fool would buy these for any practical use. (I should note they contacted me to send the boots for an ‘inspection’ after leaving an honest review on their website which they never actually put on there!)

"Excellent Customer Service from Charlie"

I cannot thank Dubarry customer service enough, I had an issue with my boots and even though they were out of warranty a fabulous customer service person called Charlie sorted the whole situation out for me. A replacement pair of boots arrived today. Superb help :-)

"I recently had a problem with the sole…"

I recently had a problem with the sole splitting on my Galway Dubarry boots and after an initial communication problem the customer service I received was second to none. My boots were replaced. I dealt with a member of staff called Donna Moore who was excellent in resolving the problem. Thank you so much Donna for all your excellent customer service. Stella
