"They will charge fee even with insurance"

Scheduled an online visit put insurance in and did everything I was supposed to do but I was still charged the 80 fee. So they charged insurance and me. That’s fraud and it’s a common problem if you read the reviews. I even did a 3 way call with them and the insurance company to verify coverage and was assured I wouldn’t be charged but yes I still was!!! They will lie every time you call and act like they are helping but total waste of time. They keep telling me to call insurance even though I have multiple times so I even have to do their billing work for them still to be charged. Always another excuse when I call. Don’t use them. Stay away plus they didn’t even help they sent us to urgent care so I paid 80 for a 45 second call that was useless and another 80 at urgent care. Such a joke!!

"Just plain dishonest."

Totally worthless. A guaranteed waste of time.
I've tried to use this service twice, in desperate circumstances, and both times there were NO providers available--or even scheduled!--in my area. And yet despite being unable to provide services, MDlive gives me the "10 minutes or less" wait time screen. It is only when I have called, hours later, that I finally get someone to admit that nobody is available. Why make people wait for hours? Did my insurance get charged? Just a dishonest and scammy service-and especially deplorable given that this is a supposedly medical service.

"Waste of time and money"

My girlfriend who is covered under my insurance plan had an appointment with a doctor on MDLive from my suggestion. She had a bad cold in her chest had verified it wasn’t COVID and in the past she has been diagnosed with slight asthma and previously got inhaler and prednisone. So that’s what she was hoping for this time . But the whole call lasted 3 mins for the doctor to tell her to go to urgent care. So we paid for that and had to go to urgent care to spend more money and she was told it was just a cold even though they agreed she was weezing so she still will need to find another doctor just to get an inhaler for her breathing! Waste of our money and time!

"Absolutely pathetic"

Absolutely pathetic! Had to pull teeth to get a second opinion (because the first doctor said he was sending a prescription to help me feel better and did not) then with the new one the call dropped because I’m so far in the mountains! Instead of calling me back to finish the call he literally wrote the summary and said follow per first consultation. Out of work for 3 days and told me I was highly contagious and said to take Claritin? What a joke! 1st call Dr. Gary Greer, MD

"Could not verify my insurance"

Got an appointment quick and was happy until I received an email my insurance could not be verified. Called my insurance and employer and confirmed I was covered. Called MD and made sure they had correct insurance. Still got charged.

"MDLive is just an ear, not helpful in anyway"

Don't call MDLive unless you are completely stupid. The doctor refused to help my 16 year old son who has the lingering aftermath of a cold and truly needs an antibiotic. This doctor lectured us for over 5 minutes about antibiotics then refused to provide service on a Saturday afternoon - recommended that we go into the ER for such a minor issue. I was so unimpressed that while these providers may be licensed, they lack the experience and soft skills needed to help patients needing their care.

I would leave negative stars if I could. I tried to see a psychiatrist and did everything they said to do and was online and tried a video appointment with Dr.hash on 12/4/23 and phone call on 12/6/23 and back to back appointments they charged me 50 bucks for missing when I followed the link they sent and was online well before my appointment and did everything they said both times and never received any call. They have done nothing but compound my issues and push me closer to blowing my head off. I will never use md live again. It's a massive joke and it's laughable how fast they take 50 bucks from you for supposedly missing an appointment when they never called and it takes 45 days to refund your money. It's nothing but a money grab and I don't see how they live with themselves when you're doing this to people who are asking and paying for help.

Called with a very bad coughing and unable to sleep. The Nurse sent an RX for nausea unbelievable. Here's a perfect example of out medical system in this country and how people die with the wrong meds!

"Poorly Executed Service"

New to this service because my oldest child loves it and I needed services for my youngest child. Doctors are not responding and MDlive just didnt communicate anything. The request just fell out of the message/appointment request box when the date past, like I never made the request. The message box is super slow to respond, when you try to communicate through the chat box. They said they could not verify my insurance and I would have to call, but it is a BC/BS product. So what is that. Not happy at all with this service. They only got a 2 because my oldest child has been successful with their services. That was definitely not my experience. I will just work with local providers now that offer TH services.

"Awful"

Awful. The service is expensive, half assed, and the doctors are completely incompetent. If you need to get back in contact with the doctor you saw for urgent care? YOU CANT. There is literally no way to contact them again and if you call the customer service line they just say they will ask the doctor and then not call you back for the rest of the day making you wait another 24 hours or more to get a needed prescription. This service is so bad it's unironically boarding on malpractice and blatent medical negligence.
