"Good for therapy, bad for psychiatry."

Very good or very bad, no in-between. I met with a lovely therapist for talk therapy, but when trying to discuss my symptoms with a psychiatrist he was incredibly rude and interrupted me constantly, told me there was no possible way my symptoms were valid, and at one point said he "didn't value opinions from therapists" when I mentioned talking points she asked me to bring up. He tapered me off of a previous medication too quickly that made me violently ill, and has forgotten to fill medications after I pay for meetings, requiring me to schedule another one. Scheduling a 30 minute consultation and having him hang up after 3 minutes after not addressing my concerns is disheartening. This last meeting he asked for my information as it was "our first time meeting". It was our 5th. Will be seeking psychiatric care somewhere else even if it is out of pocket, they can't be bothered to even look up your name in advance.

"Strep Throat & MDLIVE"

Booked an appointment online and was speaking with a doctor within an hour. Uploaded some photos of my throat and spoke with the doctor for 5 minutes about my symptoms. He was able to prescribe me antibiotics for strep throat. I get step every couple of years. He was great!! I highly recommend using MDLIVE. I've never had a bad experience!!! A+++ Thank you Dr. Alec Rubin!

"Paid money didn’t actually speak with a doctor."

Just had an “appointment” yesterday where I paid my money, answered some questions, and took pictures about my roseacea. Never actually saw a doctor but they looked at my pictures and gave me a prescription. In the treatment plan it said it I could get conjunctivitis. When I sent a follow up question asking if it is possible my eye issue could be due to the rosacea and also asked if there were other treatments the reply was that I only could ask questions for the initial problem . Well excuse me but it was referring to the treatment plan for the original problem so I consider it part of the original problem. They also had this in the treatment plan to hedge their bets “ My opinion is expressed within a reasonable degree of medical certainty. Adherence to these treatment guidelines and recommendations will not ensure successful treatment in every situation. Furthermore, these treatment guidelines and recommendations should not be deemed inclusive of other methods of care reasonably directed to obtaining the same results. The ultimate judgment regarding the propriety of any specific therapy must be made by the healthcare provider and the patient in light of all the circumstances presented by the individual patient.”

"MDLIVE money mill—useless service"

MDLIVE has been a service available in conjunction with my insurance. First off, I haven’t even once been able to log into the app. I’ve had technical assistance and then they tell me now everything is fine but it still wouldn’t work. This is the least of the issues.

I set up my account specifically because it would accept my insurance. NOWHERE in there did it ask for my insurance information. Nowhere. I had to pay upfront and even afterwards I scoured the website to find the place to enter my insurance info—it didn’t exist.

I still foolishly have tried to use the service. Based on the list of minor issues they say they handle, I had made an appointment on three different occasions. These are minor issues and each time they hurried me through and said well maybe I should go to urgent care.

In case you are wondering, this is a money mill for the doctors. They aren’t interested in assisting you, they want to push you through as quickly as possible, do nothing, and get to the next person so they can make as much money as possible in a day.

Today, I wanted for the first time to access the mental health services (depression). Of course I couldn’t log in. I spent 30 minutes in the middle of the night with an operator trying to fix this. I just got up and again tried to access my account. I can’t log in.

It’s USELESS!!!!

"They take your money!!"

They did not charge my insurance and did not contact me. After many phone calls to get reimbursed for the charge they issued still nothing.
I was even on a 3 way call with MD Live and my insurance company who did confirm I had coverage.
Ridiculous!!

"HIT and MISS"

I have used MDLIVE twice now. The first time was very helpful and the doctor I saw really knew what she was doing. The second time, however, was terrible. The doctor basically just kept saying how bad other doctors were and didn't help me at all. He was also quite caustic. I wish there was a good way to rate individual doctors so I could know who not to see.

"The doctor barely let me say a single…"

The doctor barely let me say a single word before telling me I probably have Covid. If she would have let me speak, I would have told her that I've had two Covid tests since my symptoms began and they were both negative. This service was a waste of my money and I will go see my regular PCM tomorrow.

"MD live is a terrible service for routine health maintenance"

MD live is a terrible service for anyone who needs to get in touch with the medical provider they see routinely on MD live. There is literally no way to get a message to the doctor you see on MD live. If you have a one-off, simple issues, I guess this service is fine. If you are seeing MD live physicians for longer term, standard issues, then it's useless. You will not be able to talk to the same doctor between appointments, even for questions about medications, refills of medication if you run out, etc. Instead, they will force you to talk to ANOTHER MD live doctor and STILL will not allow you to send a message to your regular MD live physician.

Only use this service if you have a simple, one time problem.

"Double dipping for payment"

I had an appointment beginning of December, the dr couldn't help and was very unknowledgeable about my situation, that's besides the point... They billed my insurance and my insurance paid the whole bill. I just recieved a charge on my credit card for $82, I called MDLive and asked why they said it's because i don't have insurance... so they got paid by my insurance and took money from my debit card. The person at MDLive said it wasn't their fault and I had to fight it out with the insurance. So frustrating

"after reading reviews I was skeptical…"

after reading reviews I was skeptical in even setting up an appointment. However I figured $10 fee and with it being after hours why not just try it out! Upon scheduling appt it said wait time would be 2 hours -- it was more like 5 hours before we received call. Very simple process...Dr said a prescription would be called in. I was reluctant to just show up at the pharmacy without calling first to ensure prescription would be there but I have to say ..IT WAS THERE! Very satisfied with MDLIVE and even more so that I didnt have to take off from work to go to the Dr. Very very pleased.
