"Doctors should speak the language of their patient"
I work outside walking around a 40 acre complex routinely climbing structures as high as 17 stories. This is a physical job and it will be 4 degrees out tomorrow night (28 degrees below freezing). I was diagnosed with covid 5 days ago. I am experiencing severe sudden onsets of fatigue and what can best be described as pressure in my sinuses. I also feel tightness in my chest when I exert myself (like what I would do climbing a 17 story structure in 4 degree temperatures). Since the CDC has decided to change their quarantine time to 5 days this doctor (who barely speaks English) tells me I can have one extra day off, then should go back to work wearing a mask. He either could not understand, or chose not to listen when I explained my situation and my symptoms. The CDC guideline is pretty clear, and is only referring to isolation periods for covid transmittal, not care of an individual's symptoms. I do not work in a comfy climate controlled office and can not due a 12 hour shift in these conditions. I know this because I have been doing it for 13 years!
I go years at a time without call offs, and am pretty sure I know better than some random doctor what it takes to survive in my work environment. This appointment was a complete waste of time, and I would have been far better off physically going to a doctor willing to listen to me instead of one trying to farm through as many patients as possible. What a joke.
Also, I tried to link the relevant CDC website to show the current guidelines and prove my point, but apparently MDlive doesn't like that. For reference, I was referring to the CDC document "CDC Updates and Shortens Recommended Isolation and Quarantine Period for General Population" dated 27 December 2021

"Script Discrepancy"
I had a phone consultation with one of MD Live's doctors this morning at 9:40am, 01/10/2022 because I had been experiencing severe skin irritation that has progressed since 01/02/2022.
The Dr assured me that I would get a prescription strength steroid ointment / cream that would help alleviate the nearly painful itching that I have. He further stated to wait 30min-1hour to pick up the prescription.
As the day progressed, it had been 5 1/2 hours since my consultation and my pharmacy still had not yet received the rx. So I had to call MD Live and my pharmacy a few times just to get this whole thing resolved.
MD Live's Help / Support staff were incredible as soon as they were able to return my phone-call / voicemail. As soon as they had discovered that the Dr had typed up the script, but didn't hit the "send" button, they fixed it immediately. I am VERY appreciative of their help with that because my skin is pretty badly irritated and I needed that script ASAP.
The Nurse that discovered the mistake was very kind and prompt. She immediately got the rx sent to my local pharmacy and gave me a direct call back to let me know that it had been sent and is being processed.
Yes, it took quite a long time to get it resolved, but it got resolved and that's all I really care about. If it had not been resolved as promptly as it was, then I would've kept a negative review up on this website.
We all need to be more understanding that MD Live and other tele-medicine staff, might be short-staffed and overworked due to the pandemic. I have my opinions about the pandemic, but that is not the point I'm trying to make here.
The Help / Support Staff and the Nurse got my prescription sent over to my local pharmacy at the earliest convenience that time would allow them to. They apologized for the inconvenience and got it resolved quickly. That is my point.
Try to be understanding when it comes to time and if you have something that is potentially life-threatening call 9-1-1. MD Live is doing the best that they can. Thank you MD Live for helping me promptly and I look forward to future appointments!

"Rude Politician"
I made an appointment Jan. 08 2022. My appointment
was with Susan Diamond. I had and still have a sore throat and feel awlful. The Doctor told me 60 year olds could not get strep throat. I had just got over covid and i told her so. Dr Diamond then proceeded to try and guilt me into getting a covid injection. I told her I would not get into this with her. She then said Next time I get covid I would likely die. Long story short i paid 82.00 no meds feel worse and will have to pay more to go to a real Doctor. Will never use this again........... Deborah Howe

"Excellent visits"
I've been able to use MDLive 2 times now and both were excellent experiences. I was called on the time specified and both physicians were amazing. Able to explain at length and did not feel like they were hurrying me. Both physicians seem very competent and knowledgeable. I was able to get my prescription easily. I love MDLive. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews but I'm happy and still continue to use the service.

"I guess I got lucky?"
I have had Strep Throat for about 3-4 days now. I went through the appointment application process and added a picture to help them with their diagnosis. Although it took longer than I expected to get an “immediate appointment” video call (waited 2.5 hours), I did get in contact with a doctor eventually.
He listened to me talk about my symptoms and what I had done to try and alleviate them naturally without antibiotics (short 10 minute interview). He wrote up a prescription for me, sent it to the nearby pharmacy, and that was that.
I know that it can be annoying to wait much longer than we were expecting, but I think most medical related places are short staffed and burnt out right now. I think showing some patience, kindness, and respect towards the doctors who serve you goes a long way. Thank you Dr. Lim for helping me out. I appreciate it a lot.

"Appoint times are not kept and keep getting the run around"
I made an appointment with a doctor on MDLIVE and it was confirmed. I received a text saying that the doctor would be calling me shortly. However, rather than actually getting a call from the doctor I received an automated message saying that they were still busy and would not be able to get to me. You had the option to be put in line for a different doctor at an unspecified time or you could have someone call you to reschedule with the same doctor. I chose for someone to call me to reschedule. I waited over and hour and no one called me. I called them and apparently it was not put that they were supposed to call me so no one would have ever called me if I didn't call them. They rescheduled me and I received a text saying a doctor had accepted and would call within 5 min. If not, call the number. Well I waited 10min and no call. So I once again had to call back. They then said I was still in line and I would get a call in 10 min. Then, 10min later I get another automated call now saying I would have to wait another 60min. I feel like I keep getting the run around and will never actually get to talk with a doctor. Keep in mind, they already charged me the $25 for this and I have yet to actually get the service I paid for. So now, once again I am having to call them back as I cannot keep doing this all day long. This is so ridiculous. This is supposed to be easy and convenient, however it has been more of a hassle than actually going to the doctor in person. I will never try this again!!! I would definitely NOT recommend MDLIVE!!!

"They just took my card info after…"
They just took my card info after saying they couldn't verify my insurance..then twice have me wait a half hour for an appointment..never called back and twice sent me an email that they were sorry that I cancelled the visit..WHILE I WAS WAITING WITH MY PHONE IN MY HAND!!!.
Sure seems like a scam to me..better not get charged..

"The doctor hung up in my face and I…"
The doctor hung up in my face and I called to speak to someone who deals with customers complaints and was called by a registered nurse and she said it was okay for the doctor to hang up in my face. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! You should NEVER just hang up in a customer’s face!! What type of service did they train them for? Sure not exceptional customer service. I don’t want to contact y’all, so MDlive don’t comment apologizing. I don’t care. The doctors are incompetent and doesn’t know the true meaning of exceptional customer service.

"They finally called me at 3:15am in the…"
They finally called me at 3:15am in the morning. Just under 12 hours after I made the appointment. Unfortunately I missed the call… you know sleep. And now I get a notification that unfortunately I missed my appointment. What a joke.

"A wasted day without medical assistance when needed"
When my Daughter set up her video visit appointment earlier this afternoon the website indicated around a 3 hour wait. That would have been at latest around 8:00 pm. 5 hours later, and nothing... For the last 45 minutes the app and the website have indicated that it will be 10 minutes or less.
