If I could give zero stars I truly would. My frustration is not with COVID 19 nor would I have ever canceled this cruise however The owners do not know how to run a business. Unfortunately giving someone who paid in full for a cruise different dates that do not work for them is not a reason for charging a cancellation fee nor keeping part of their deposit. This is called a unsuccessful founder and also a unsuccessful business as many people will read this review and their partnering company does not agree with their actions and holding on to deposits as well. I have traveled to every continent except Antarctica and was very excited to book my cruise! Eclipse travel has to be the worst company I’ve ever worked with while traveling. Due to the Pandemic and then offering me future dates for a cruise that did not work for me they scammed me out of $1245 deposit! It’s funny that they are offering $500 deposits now! Not to mention the controller they are saying who is keeping deposits actually said they are in the wrong for doing this and the controller is not keeping a deposit. You can’t offer someone a date in 2022 and expect them to jump and go when you paid for a date in March 2021. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and book with this company. They have a very small following on IG and aren’t very well known. They lie and try to charge extra wire fees and also don’t respond. You would think when someone pays $7695 for a cruise the company would be available to respond but not this one! I am currently working with the BBB to get the rest of my deposit and will inform all platforms of social media of these SCAMMERS! Do not book with them!!!!! I will also be leaving a review with Rip off Report in the US to show when the company is googled to warn others about this company! If you are looking for a peaceful journey to Antartica try going with National Geographic or another company directly! They kept telling me they need to pay their employees- I’m assuming the business is failing if they need to keep everyones deposits and the controller is not keeping the deposits. It unfortunately was not my choice to be in the travel industry as there are risks and instead of accepting this and making your customer happy you instead scam them and keep their money because you are not successful. There is a reason there aren’t many followers on IG or likes as this is a newer company. I am taking my story to NBC in hopes that they can help recover everyone’s money from the cruise which they are offering now March 2022 and I have email as proof from The owners that they want the passengers to change due to COVID. I actually never would have canceled the cruise until I got a email but the owner stating they are offering other dates! Beware - there are so many other companies that are worth your time and money!

The trip was absolutely amazing in every way, I felt very safe booking with eclipse travel and I’m very glad I did as I was looked after and directed into booking the best voyage to Antarctica that best suited me. Would 100% book through eclipse again. THANK YOU !

"South America Adventure"

We returned from Peru just over two weeks ago from an Eclipse Travel tour of South America and I have to say these guys are amazing. Our holiday was beyond perfect touring Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Peru with the tours and service from the local guides simply amazing. We were at Aguas Calientes ready for our tour of Macchu Pichu when we got the news of the closure of the Peruvian border due to COVID-19, and the customer support from both Eclipse Travel and their local agent SETOURS was beyond belief - I have never experienced such amazing customer care to ensure our welfare, culminating in a charter flight from Peru back home safely to New Zealand. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Eclipse and SETOURS in what was very trying circumstances and I am looking forward to booking another South American tour with you guys as we have unfinished bucket list items to see!!

Luke Glenday, our amazing agent from Eclipse Travel, was well versed with all his communications in designing this holiday, and his input was highly valued.

During our first week in Brazil and Argentina, the local agents, transfers, hotels, and the tours were exceptional. We recommend the luxurious Gran Melia Iguazu Hotel, the delicious breakfast at the Porto Bay Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, and the ultra stylish boutique Palo Santo Hotel in Palermo with its generous sized room was welcomed.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic cut short our trip. As each country’s borders shut down, the anxiety and nervous tension was overwhelming but being able to talk directly with Luke was a comfort. Luke came through for us with new air tickets for our safe exit from Argentina and got us home. Thank you Luke, you are a star as without your continuous communication and support we would have been stranded.

This by far, was a true test of not only Luke but the entire team of Eclipse Travel living up to the testament of their professional standards over and above under difficult circumstances to deliver a favorable outcome.

"Fantastic Service"

Eclipse Travel and Matt McMillan came highly recommended to us so when we came to look for a trip to Antarctica we naturally approached them. We met with Matt and explained our priorities for the trip. Maximising the time spent in Antarctica and visiting South Georgia were key. The trip he proposed was Antartica 21 Fly Cruise, which allowed us to skip the Drake Passage and fly directly to the South Shetlands. Matt also organised our connecting flights for us. The Antarctic trip was fantastic. The service we received from Matt and the Eclipse team was also outstanding, going above and beyond. Firstly with some last minute departure flight changes for one of our party. Secondly, but most importantly, getting us out of Argentina and Chile post cruise and back to Sydney ahead of impending Coronavirus lockdowns. Matt worked wonders getting us on earlier flights, spending alot of time on the phone to airlines and pushing our tickets through an overwhelmed system. He kept us informed and stayed calm throughout. We were so relieved and grateful to be back. We would definitely recommend working with Matt and Eclipse and hope to do so again once the world starts to get back to normal. Thanks Matt!

Great Travel agency. Very efficient and trustworthy. All staff in particular Mauricio were excellent in getting credits for cancelled trips due to Coronavirus. Will be rebooting when possible.

"Antarctic expedition cruise on 'MV Ushaia'"

Our trip to Antarctica on the Polar Quest cruise aboard the "MV Ushaia" was the best travel experience we have ever had.
Lara Dalrymple at Eclipse Travel found this expedition cruise for us, as the best value option to suit our travel interests and requirements. She provided comprehensive information about the cruise and timely requests for information from us once we had booked. She was always responsive to our requests and queries.

Blake from Eclipse Travel was briliant in helping us put together a trip of a lifetime to Chile, Argentina, Peru and the Galapagos.

"Eclipse Travel (Blake Powell)- Fantastic"

Personally, I rarely write reviews, but I had to after my recent experience with the coronavirus, and the help from Eclipse Travel Agent, Blake Powell, who got me home.

With rules and restrictions changing by the hour, I got caught in transit in a remote area of a non English speaking country while trying to avoid effected areas. It was quite tense and unpredictable with sudden boarder closures, airport closures, and then people being forced into locked down. However, with really only one option to get home, Blake worked day and night over a 4 day period (and I mean we had a total of around 12 hours sleep each, if that, over the period) to get approvals and process tickets whilst I was in transit (because we weren’t sure if I’d get through to be able to fly, or if flights would proceed after each stop), to eventually get me home.

I do understand that worldwide there are various devasting events (including our recent bushfires), however, on behalf of my friends and family as well, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank him
publicly. It says so much about not only about the quality of his work, but about him as a person. I could not recommend him high enough, and below is his contact details and there are various links online in relation to the recognitions he has already received for his work.
