"Fantastic Matt"

Matt went above and beyond to assist me in making my trip a dream come true. I signed up shortly before the trip and Matt helped me navigate the challenges of completing the Chilean Health Ministry paperwork. He answered all of my questions promptly. Sometimes the answer was, "I don't know but I'll find out" and he did. When I missed a flight connection in Miami Matt helped me coordinated my new flights and made certain a Ponant representative met me in Santiago to get me to my next flight.

"Exceeded All Expectations"

I am amazed and thankful for the great help Matt and his staff at Eclipse Travel were to us!
Our trip was multi continent, including a cruise 19- night Antarctic (+) cruise and everything went according to the travel plans laid out by the staff at Eclipse Travel!
Being from the US, the time differences didn't matter really, because Matt and his staff were so quick with responses. Sure, there were lots of back and forth emails - but that's what it takes sometimes.
We had no problems checking in to flights, embarking on the cruise, and especially our time in Iguazu Falls was equally smooth! The (sub) contracted staff there, on site, were impeccable and impressive. This includes being multi-lingual, punctual, and navigating us to the front of any lines! The departure process at the airport was guided by their hands and so smooth!
This trip would not have been possible without Eclipse Travel! Highly recommended and Encourged to use!

"Customizable Vacations"

I loved how Eclipse Travel was able to customize my trip to Antarctica by adding a few days to Buenos Aires and Ushuaia before the cruise. Their tour guides were so informative that I was able to get personalized tours in the morning and explore the rest of the city on my own in the afternoon. Plus, they were able to upgrade me from an older cruise ship to be able to go on the maiden voyage of the Ocean Victory! Every detail was perfectly handled so that travel from BA to Ushuaia to the cruise went smoothly and effortlessly. I will definitely be booking through Eclipse Travel within the near future!

"We traveled with Eclipse right after…"

We traveled with Eclipse right after Chile opened up to international travelers. Our original 2020 eclipse trip was cancelled and we only knew that we could go in 2021 about a month ahead of time. The testing and other bureaucratic requirements were quite challenging, but Matt at Eclipse was very patient and helpful in navigating us through the maze. His predecessors were helpful as well, but there were some mistakes in our itinerary that occasionally left us a little confused. All in all, though, the trip to Patagonia was really amazing and we are completely happy that we went, particularly beause COVID kept a lot of the usual tourists away!

The staff made an incredible job, especially with all the plenty of Covid-19 related extra hassle. The excursons were fantastic, as well as all the interesting lectures and entartainment.

"Eclipse Travel Uses Your Deposit Refund for their Staffing Costs"

Eclipse Travel uses your deposit when your trip is cancelled for their own staffing costs. I know it's hard to believe. It happened to me and many more people who have posted complaints online. In fact I researched Eclipse Travels' (AKA Vivid Expeditions) complaints about this issue and found that since 2020 they have kept $24,745 of peoples deposits with complaints on 4 different websites: ($1000, $7500, $4000, $3000, $4000, $4000, $1245). Who knows how much more deposit money was stolen from travelers that didn't post complaints.
I wish I could post the actual emails from the owner stating they were keeping my deposit for their office expenses, but this site does not have the ability to do this. So I will quote from the owner's emails. In one email the owner states "we would refund your deposit less non recoverable expenses associated with your booking, which cannot be recouped and include STAFFING COSTS, ADVERTISING, foreign exchange fluctuations and bank fees. Eclipse Travel would refund your deposit minus non recoverable costs of $1000 USD". So, Eclipse Travel kept $1000 (40%) of my deposit when my Antartica cruise was cancelled to pay for their staffing costs and advertising! Let that sink in. Is this the company you want to trust with your deposit money?

MY ANSWER TO ECLIPSES' RESPONSE: Notice the response did not deny they keep peoples' deposits for office expenses when our trips were cancelled. Because it is true.

"Absolutely amazing trip"

Absolutely amazing trip! They managed to get us to see the total eclipse in Argentina during Covid-19. Extremely dedicated and professional. I cannot believe they pulled it off. We had a phenomenal time. Wouldn't hesitate to use them for any trip planning.

"Argentina eclipse trip a success despite all odds"

I travelled to Argentina to see the eclipse of Dec 2020 when the country was essentially closed. Amazingly, Eclipse Travel managed to secure a special permit to enter the country and see the eclipse. My understanding is that I was one of only 180 foreign tourists in the country, so this really was a feat of negotiation and patience. Many other travellers had booked trips through travel agencies that cancelled their trips, some of them even going bankrupt, resulting in their customers losing their deposits. Eclipse Travel, on the other hand, pulled it off. For that, they've earned my trust.
