"Unnecessary/excessive repair charging"

Prior to my recent rental, SixT had become my favored rental company in Europe. My cars have been good quality for the price. Service is very fast and friendly. The no-contact checkout at CPH worked flawlessly in my first use.
My complaint regards a 2 cm scratch on the front bumper that resulted in a $500 repair charge. To be fair, I do believe I caused the scratch. But the repair should be nowhere near $500. Frankly, I have never seen anything that small even noted in the US. It has the feeling of "bait and switch" - bring in customers with low rental price then recover $ charging excessively for incidental repairs found.

"Super service og super pris"

Jeg kom ind fra gaden og lejede en el-bil ialt i 7 uger.
Fik bilen udleveret med det samme. Jeg fik ændret længden af lejeperioden 2 gange. Jeg fik en superpris og dejlig betjening af søde mennesker i afd. ved Vesterport 🤩

"Car filthy, international customer harassed for nonexistent damage."

When I picked up the car, there was a line at the counter stretching out the door and into the street. I was handed the keys and told the car was out back. The car (black station wagon) was filthy, with muddy streaks all over it. I took it anyway, as I was in a hurry, and returned it the same evening after an IKEA run. Six weeks later, after leaving Denmark, I received a cryptic note claiming unspecified damages, and demanding payment. The showed a picture of the filthy rear bumper, with big white marker circles on it around what may have been a small scuff on the upper loading surface of the bumper. Due to how dirty the car was, neither I nor or a Sixt employee would have noticed this area either before or after my rental. Sixt has sent me harassing emails for months, from multiple offices, demanding payment, and not answering even my simplest questions about this issue. I have asked to contact regional or national managers, but get no response, and the harassing emails continue, a year later. (added on 7/10/24:) I received an email from Sixt on Jun 26, 2024, the day before the post from Sixt below, stating that my case had been reviewed, and the damage claim withdrawn. Today I received yet another email from the same Sixt email address, demanding payment. Outrageous!

"Afviser booking og hæver prisen 50%"

Lejer en bil med 9 sæder. SIXT afviser bookningen. Og beholder nøjagtig samme bil til udlejning på deres hjemmeside præcis 50 % dyrere. Dårlig stil!

"Formentlig sidste gang vi bruger Sixt"

Vi har lejet bil hos Sixt flere gange og har været fint tilfredse - de er i den dyre ende men det har kørt relativt gnidningsfrit. Relativt.
Vi har nu lejet en bil i sommerferien. 2 uger i Albanien. 7500 kr. Det kunne gøres for halv pris hos andre billejefirmaer, men vi valgte Sixt. Jeg begår fejlen at overse at indtaste min firmarabat, da jeg lejer bilen. Jeg ringer derfor til Sixt og beder om hjælp. Jeg bliver afvist og får besked på, at jeg er velkommen til at spørge direkte i Albanien. Jeg lejer bilen hos Sixt Danmark og er derfor rigtig skuffet over deres manglende hjælp. Sixt Albanien svarer slet ikke, jeg har skrevet til dem fire gange.

"Ufattelig dårlig service, de bonner for skader man ikke har lavet."

Ufattelig dårlig service. Vi ankom til Nice 12. maj, hvor vi lejede 2 biler. Betalingen var reserveret på et kreditkort, men alligevel skulle vi give vores kreditkort oplysninger. Efterfølgende er jeg trukket et mindre beløb for en udokumenteret skade på den bil, som jeg kørte. Da vi afleverede bilerne, var der ingen skader på dem. Jeg har skrevet flere emails uden noget svar tilbage - blot at de har travlt. Brug andet selskab - aldrig Sixt.

"Ufattelig dårlig service"

Ufattelig dårlig service.
Bilen blev afleveret, og så bliver en regning sendt efterfølgende på en lille skade, på det ene sidespejl, som lige så godt kunne være sket, mens den holdt på deres parkeringsplads.
Dialogen efterfølgende var dårlig, og endte med at koste os 2000 kr.
Et godt råd, find et andet udlejningsfirma, hvis i ikke vil have nerver, efter bilen er afleveret.

"Jeg lejede en bil i 2 måneder af SIXT i…"

Jeg lejede en bil i 2 måneder af SIXT i Litauen. Fuld forsikring. Da jeg afleverede bilen skulle jeg bare give dem nøglen, da jeg jo var fuldt forsikret. Efterfølgende sendte de en regning på 100 euro for rens af bagsædet. Jeg havde ikke benyttet bagsædet en eneste gang. What a scam. Bruger dem aldrig igen og anbefaler ingen at bruge dem.

"Damage charging and necessary checks"

Minute stone chip found on wheel rim after drop off. Customer signs for complete liability of everything. Charged 1800 DK to repair, left to prove it wasnt there when we hired. This was later refunded after making complaint. Suggest Sixt co-workers need to make customer responsibilities liabilities clear at handovers, not just in the small print but also verbally so renter can make appropriate thorough checks.
