"Stay away from Sixt!"

Sixt is officially the worst rental company. I am renting cars from various suppliers in Copenhagen but never had experienced anything like this before. I have never been treated with more rudeness and disrespect from ALL the employees I talked to in a company ever!

I rented out a car from Sixt which was missing a required parking disk on the windshield because they forgot to provide one. When I noticed it, it was Saturday afternoon, so it was past their working hours and I couldn't reach them either on the phone or at their city center offices. I asked around and learned that I can buy one from a mall. I drove all the way there and while I was buying a parking disk, which should be there in the first place, I got a parking ticket within 20 minutes for not having a parking disk! This is when thing started getting interesting.

When I returned the car I ask the lady in the office about that ticket and the circumstances of how I got it. She immediately called her manager and got a confirmation that they will cover it and I don't have to worry about that anymore. She scanned the ticket and ensured me that everything was fine.

After a few days I got curious so I logged in the online payment system of the parking company that issued the fine when I realized it was of course unpaid. I tried to contact Sixt and they kept ignoring my emails for 7 days until today when they started accusing me of lying and that it was my responsibility to pay the ticket. I visited their offices, only to find out that the lady that was working the day I returned the car is not working at Sixt anymore and nobody else is willing to help me on that. I also called the headquarters where I got some incoherent responses i.e. they have no idea who is the manager that was working at that day and that the lady actually didn't tell me that they will pay for the ticket, just that she will try to check if it is possible. HOW ON EARTH did they come up with that without EVER talking to either the lady who does not work there anymore or the manager who they claimed they don't know who he is?!?!?!?!

After all these days, the parking ticket is overdue which means I have to pay an extra fee because it expired. Thank you Sixt!

"HOLD JER VÆK FRA DEN ELENDIGE FIRMA!!"

Jeg håbede på at man kunne give NUL stjerner, fordi en stjerne er altså alt for meget til denne elendig firma. De snyder godt og grundigt og tager nemme penge fra folk på forskellige måder så tjener de nemme penge ved hjælp af forskellige tricks som de er trænet til. Jeg skulle betale for en skade som er sket efter aflevering af bilen hvilket sikkert er sket af deres medarbejder eller nogen andre. De fortæller mig at når bilen er hos mig så er jeg ansvarlig, og bilen var ikke hos mig men jeg afleverede bilen på deres parkeringsplads og fik smidt nøglen i en boks som de har. Så siger de at fordi det er uden for deres åbningstid så er den stadig på mit ansvar! Hold da op! De tror at jeg skal parkere mig selv ved siden af bilen til den næste dag indtil de åbner så jeg holder øje med bilen ! Og de gad ikke at tjekke overvågningskameraer FORDI de mener at de ikke har adgang til dem! Ja right ! Den skal jeg helt sikkert tro på! Og nu står jeg til at betale for noget som jeg ikke har gjordt og fordi de bare kan tage nemme penge fra folk! Hold jer væk fra den firma !

Fik en regning for vejtold på 3kr og et gebyr oven i på 100kr.. tak for det. Skrev til Sixt der sagde bare ærgeligt... useriøst... Hold jer væk...

"ADVARSEL! Hold jer langt væk fra billeje ved Sixt!!!"

ALDRIG mere Sixt! Vi lejede en varevogn hos Sixt i Kbh lufthavn. Ved udleveringen fik vi at vide at køretøjet havde “en historik”, hvilket betød, at vi fik en vogn med adskillige store buler og ridser. Vi gik omkring bilen og sammenholdte beskrivelsen med buler/ridser og tog billeder for at forsøge at sikre os bedste muligt. Der var ingen Sixt medarbejdere til stede hvor vi skulle hente vognen.
Ved aflevering af vognen fandt den emsige medarbejder en meget lille bule på forreste nummerplade. Bulen var stort set usynlig, men kunne mærkes hvis man kører en finger hen over nummerpladen (hvilke normale mennesker gør det?!). Vi er 100% sikre på, at vi ikke har lavet bulen, og vi har ikke parkeret nogen steder, hvor andre har kunne køre ind i os. Til trods for at bilen allerede havde mange skader, mener Sixt nu at vi skal betale for udbedring af den lille bule på nummerpladen. Det lugter langt væk af, at de bevidst narrer kunderne til at betale igen og igen for en skade, som man kun opdager, hvis man ved hvad man skal lede efter.
Ud over at vi skal betale for en skade vi ikke har lavet, kan vi se, at den ekstra forsikring, som medarbejderen oplyste kostede 156 kr, viste sig at være 156 kr pr. dag! -Noget kunne tyde på at Sixt giver bonus til medarbejderne efter hvor mange penge de kan fuppe ud af folk.
Vi har lejet bil i udlandet mange gange tidligere uden problemer, og havde godt nok ikke regnet med at det ville være i Danmark vi ville blive godt og grundigt snydt.

"Had rented an Opel Insignia via…"

Had rented an Opel Insignia via Ryanair. Was offered a Renault Scenic. Agent claimed its the same group. Rental companies and their "groups". I said I do not want to drive around in a big hausfrau car in Copenhagen. After much debate I was offered a 5 series BMW - at double the price I had pre-paid for the Opel!! Non negotiable. Or I was offered a downgrade - but without refund. - That's it. Take it or leave it. The two young girls couldn't care less. After a long flight I decided to go with the downgrade without refund as there was no other viable option. However, in the parking garage there were LOTS of Sixt cars many of which were in "my" car group, but obviously reserved for better paying clients than those from Ryanair. - Next: The car was not parked at it's designated spot #137 (as told at the desk and written on contract) in the far end of the dark parking garage. There was a different car. After searching and "bipping" with the remote "my" car was in a completely different spot #111. Never, ever Sixt again.

Rude and extremely obnoxious staff. I have certainly never experienced Sixt like this when renting abroad.

"Extreamly bad service"

Extreamly bad service! specially from thier airport branch in Aalborg.
We rented a car from them for 3 weeks, midway during our vacation a stone hit our windscreen and damaged the glass, we called it in and asked if we can get a replacement. Part of the service we signed up for includes service on the road if needed and car replacement if necessary.
They were not able to help us in the location we reported and we were asked to drive to their nearest branch to replace the car.
The nearest branch (Aalborg) was 100 kilometers out of our way nevertheless we drove thier to get our promised replacement.
Much to our surprise the replacement car was on a lower grade car not suitable for long distance travel (city car basically) and has windscreen damage as well. We tried to get a better car and they basically denied us that unless we pay 30% extra on our contract for a new car on the same level we had before.
We were not offered any compensation for our stress and the time wasted to drive to them to get a replacement, not even a 150 DKK gas bill!
After lengthy negotiations with them and 5 hours time wasted we decided to keep our initial car with the windscreen damaged and continued our travel.
If you are looking for good professional car rental service and worried about the safety of your family or of what might happen on the road, Don't choose Sixt! Go with any other company.

"3500kr for rens af ét sæde."

Vi havde leaset en fin bil gennem Sixt. Da vi afleverede den, fik vi at vide at et sæde skulle renses pga. pletter... Det var nok rigtigt - vores søn havde siddet på det sæde til og fra børnehave et par gange om ugen i de måneder, vi har haft bilen.
Men så kom regningen - 3500kr for rens af ét sæde. Godt nok stod der “sæder” til at starte med i regningen - men det ændrede Sixt til et sæde - men prisen var den samme!
Jeg tillod mig så at indhente et tilbud lignende sixt’s tilbud fra selvsamme firma, som de bruger til bilpleje. Min mors bil har nærmest samme pletter på et sæde, da det er det sæde, min søn sidder på, når hun henter ham fra børnehave - godt nok er hendes pletter mere genstridige, tænker jeg, da han har siddet på det sæde længere tid, end de seks måneder vi har leaset den anden bil. Men under alle omstændigheder lyder firmaets tilbud på 1400 + moms for rens af det sæde - jeg kan regne mig frem til, at det er en pris på 1750 kr. i alt for rensning af et sæde hos dem. Det er stadig dyrt - men det nærmer sig ikke, den pris Sixt har lagt frem for os!
Så det hele efterlader mig med et billede af, at den pris Sixt ønsker: 3500 kr. for rens af ét sæde er i overkanten for at sige det mildt!
Jeg vil slutteligt gerne påpege, at vi vil selvfølgelig gerne vil betale for rensning af ét sæde, hvis vi har forsaget pletter på det. Men prisen skal hænge sammen med ydelsen!
Så nu prøver jeg at klage andetsteds - måske skulle andre gøre det samme: forbruger og konkurrencestyrelsen tager imod disse klager! Og jeg klager egentligt mest fordi, det virker helt vildt krænkede med sådan en pris - 3500kr for rens af ét sæde - come on!
Så pas på derude - de lænser jer, hvis de kan ;)
Ps. Til svar fra Sixt: vi betaler 275kr pr. dag jf. vores kontrakt - dvs. en merpris på 550kr hvis I skriver to afsavnsdage - det retfærdiggør stadig ikke en pris på 3500kr! (1750 + 550 = 2300kr!)
