"Friendly competent service and brilliant value for money"
They managed to get a work man out to me very quickly at my convenience. The work man was very friendly and very knowledgeable about my boiler and managed to fix my problems within an hour. The price I paid was very very reasonable especially when you compare it to British Gas who are charging 4 Times the price for the same service. This is the second year in a row I've used PGS and I will continue to use them in future. I would highly recommend them.

"Worst plumbing rip off experienced"
For me to take the time to make a review on the net about a company is either exceptional service or the worst possible.
This is the latter.
Appointment with PGS to fix a dripping kitchen tap (since I could not change it myself). Were supposed to come the same day, call me at 17:00 saying they won't make it...
Plumber comes in the next morning, first look at the tap says : can't be fixed, need to change the whole tap.
Tries a temporary fix anyway.
Ends up breaking one of the tap (hot water) and leaves after I force him to, omitting in his report the blotch job he's made and asking for a beautiful £108 bill (one hour charge for 20 minutes of messed up service) + advice to replace the whole tap for a staggering £246 (on a second visit)...
Had to "settle" with PGS to pay only half an hour since it would have been too much trouble to take them to court.
Found another plumber that day, charming and friendly, FIXED the tap within 10 minutes with the appropriate parts, total cost £70.
There you go PGS, eat your 1 star rating because it is not possible to give 0 stars.

"Speedy and excellent service"
A requirement for a plumbing job was very quickly satisfied. Very efficient phone booking , the tradesman went to the property at the time selected, the work was carried out quickly and efficiently and the bill was posted online straight away , payment online without problems. Great service.

"Cancelled last minute and left me to pay others high prices!"
I called them on a Tuesday for a Thursday appointment to fix my boiler prior to moving into a new flat over the weekend but they cancelled at the last minute and said the best they could do would be the following Monday (this was no good for me as I was back at work plus I would be without hot water over the weekend). I had to ring around and pay higher rates elsewhere with it now being last minute work and lower prices was key reason I chose them as well as looking a larger company who would not let me down. They said openly that they had chosen to do another customers installation so had to cancel on me (I assume it paid more etc...). I don't make many reviews but PGS-plumbers.co.uk really let me down!

If was so good to get the phone answered immediately & get someone who spoke perfect English to take my enquiry. Appointment was made quickly & plumber arrived in the time slot having first called to check I was in 30 mins beforehand.
Job assessed, parts ordered & appointment made to complete the job. Workman was clean, polite & explained the options as he went along.

I am a landlord and I need a professional and reliable company to fix things promptly for my tenants. PGS-Services have been both of those things so far on the two occasions I have needed them to repair electrical problems.

PGS were recommended to me by a friend and I'm very pleased I made the call to them. Having initially contacted them on Tuesday, the job I requested had been completed by Friday lunchtime. Sara in the office was extremely helpful and Danny who did the electrical work did a great job. I would certainly use them again.

"Call centre staff making promises they don't keep"
Contacted PGS to obtain a quote for replacing my boiler, was promised an appointment 2 days later, get a phone call next day that they cannot attend & can we rearrange & they would get back to me with an appointment, they didn't. Rang again & explained situation and another appointment was booked for friday, got another phone call after 5pm to cancel & rebook for today (thursday) and lo & behold just had yet another phone call saying can't attend. This is just for a quote! If they this bad when quoting what are they like when you actually get them to do some work?
