"Amazing experience with Bristol team"

Shoutout to Bristol team, the reception, service and the overall experience was amazing. The staff was very polite and helpfull, answered all my questions, and gave advice and guidance for my first time e-mtb buyer and user experience. Booked my first service and asked for a dropper post to be installed, shoutout and thanks to Pete and Declan, got my dropper post installed for me as I struggled for couple hours myself, and still couldn’t do it myself as there was no internal cable routing in my frame, after service, bike runs like dreams. I couldn’t commend more, pleasure dealing with pros!

Very easy to order online and was delivered as promised within the time stated.
I was able to just open the box and wheel it out and turn the handlebars to the correct position.

The communication was great in store and on the phone. My bike was prepared by Mike for collection. Rich talked me through the bikes functions in detail on collection. What great and personable service. Very happy customer.

I lost the computer from my electric bike so went back to order a new one. Nicky at the store in Shirley remembered me from when I bought the bike from their Knowle store a couple of years earlier which was very impressive on its own.
Nicky also arranged to drop the new computer off at my house as she lives in the same village. As promised a week later Nicky rang me and dropped it off the same day.

"No assembly instructions"

This would be a 5-star review if it wasn't for one BIG problem with my e-bike purchase. But first the positives:
1. Pre-sales help was very good. Very quick to respond to questions - within minutes!
2. Easy online buying process. I used Cyclescheme, one of the cycle to work schemes, and the process was easier and quicker than I'd expected.
3. Delivery was within the period advertised and I could see the status of my order.

The negative:
I had understood that the e-bike would arrive pre-assembled. In fact, it arrived partially assembled in a massive box. Despite a thick operating manual and a multitude of inscrutable pamphlets, the shop provided no assembly instructions. It took me and my son 6 hours of trial and error to do what could have been a 2 hour job. Front wheel and mudguards, handlebars, Bosch remote and display, bell and pedals. The Bosch remote wasn't able to fit over the handlebar so we had to remove the grip to slide it on. I found a YouTube video to help with grip removal. A variety of Allen keys, torque drivers, spanners and a star screwdriver were needed - but found no list of tools to help prepare. You need to take a lesson from Ikea. There isn't even a how-to video to help assemble the bike.

My thesis is that Cube does not expect the customer to do assembly work, and assumes the shop mechanic does all of the assembly and set up. The bike itself is brilliant but Cube, please prepare assembly instructions using the wisdom of Ikea.
