I had to have my vehicle shipped and reached out to several carriers, including American Haul.

Denver, the rep quoted me a price which was much less than other quotes I was getting, which was somewhat of a red flag which had me asking a lot of questions and reading the contract carefully. I did express my concern of the price increasing by the time a driver was assigned (which literally occurs a day before pickup) to which he replied the quote was generated based on actual lane rates and would not increase more than $50-$75 (which I have in a text message). After asking a lot of questions and reading the contract, I moved ahead with them.

The day before pickup I got a call that they found a driver and the price was double what I was quoted, which I kind of suspected. Fortunately, I was in a situation where I did not have to have my truck shipped and stuck to my guns about the original quote and that I had in writing it would not increase more than $50-75. After several phone calls, each dropping the price a little more, we finally settled on shipping it for $100 more than the original quote, which was still far less than the other quotes I received.

The driver was great, although spoke no English. We had to use Google Translate to communicate. He did have a DOT and MC number which I took a picture of as well as his license plate.

The driver asked if he could deliver early, which was fine with us, but he wanted to drop it earlier than we would be at the drop destination due to our flight times. He agreed that I would just text him when we were home and he would arrive to dropoff then. When we got to the new home, he was actually there waiting for us so we had our vehicle by the time we got home from the airport. He was professional and the vehicle arrived with no issues.

All in all, it was certainly worth it using this company. I suspect your mileage may vary due to the bait and switch tactics but if you can ensure you are in a situation to NOT have to have your vehicle shipped, you will get better results. As for the driver, all these brokers just hand the load off to a driver they find, so the pool of drivers is probably all the same. I lucked out and got a good one but who knows what the experience would have been like with someone else.

I would use them again if their rate was far less than anyone else AND I could swing it to where I could cancel the contract and get my $75 deposit back because the rate increased more than the quote.

They were 3 hrs late picking up my car but got it there the next morning. 600 miles. I'm satisfied.

This company lies to you every step of the way, from the original price, pick-up date, delivery date, and in-transit updates. Absolutely nothing was the truth! Original quote was $695 and 3 days delivery (next day pick up and 3 days later delivery). Actual ending cost was $2740 (I'll explain later), pick-up 3 days after promise, and delivery 7 days after promise. The late pick-up not only messed up my schedule but also the schedule of the dealership waiting for their truck (some employees stayed late). It really messed up my schedule at home, as I was constantly given delivery dates that did not happen - yet I was left waiting at home for the driver to arrive. I lost 7 days of doing anything away from home because of their lies! As for the cost, once they had a contract and a $140 deposit in hand, their fun began. First, it was a call from them 3 days after the contract signing to say they couldn't find a driver for less than $4100. After a lengthy conversation, I told them I'd find another carrier. Then I got a call from a "driver" (Joshua) with whom I negotiated down to $2600 - I was desperate! (and it's a
3000 mile long trip). Turns out the "driver" was an
employee of American Haul who was posing as an
independent driver - MORE deception! And with regards to intransit updates, there are NONE. They do not have a tracking app, and they do not let you know where your car is nor the actual planned delivery date. Bottom line is that American Haul will lowball the price and delivery, then jack everything up once they have he deposit and know that you're becoming desperate for your car's transport. I cannot stress strongly enough that this is a deceptive scam bait-and-switch business and you will be burned severely if you attempt to do business with them.

They are not honest with pricing. They quoted me $350 with a $100 deposit. The day of the transport while the driver was on his way I get a call saying the driver needs another $150 deposit and $400 on delivery. Making the total $650- a $300 increase. The driver they found me was also unprofessional. Buyer beware of this company.

Never shipped a car before so I was reluctant, nervous, and afraid of scams. Paid a $70 deposit by credit card (for buyer protection) to secure search work from American Haul. Took 2.5 days to secure a driver, but Lex Tyler and Matt Jhones were patient with me despite my borderline rudeness. After they found a driver, I had to sign a final contract between me and the driver. The contract showed the balance owed (-$70 deposit) upon delivery, pre and post inspection, driver name and company, and driver cell phone number. Driver was at my house in Houston 3 hours after the contract was signed and the car was delivered in Fort Lauderdale 3 days later. Price was competitive with other companies. Process was weird to me a first but I understand how car brokers work now. Will use them in the future.

"Absolutely do not recommend"

Absolutely do not recommend. I spoke with a Jennifer Wilson. I paid $89 to book. Ok. No problem. She sent me to dispatch which I could not understand a word they were saying. I paid them $389 , for them to book the driver. The driver was awesome I paid him $700 cash upon delivery of my vehicle. Which was well worth it. However they contacted the driver and told him that I owed them another $150 for him to collect it for them. He did not! I had the invoice that showed I was paid in full. The quote they gave me to ship was $650. You get what you pay for. This place is a scam and a joke. If I could give the 0 stars I would.

Kathie was very helpful throughout the whole process of shipping my vehicle! Was very attentive, reasonable, and respectful. Highly recommend asking her for assistance if needed.
