"American Haul LLC Lex Tayler will rip you off"

I made a contract with Lex Tayler to transport a car from Alb. To Kiss. Fl. for $750. He took a $150 deposit and when they went to pick up the car they raised the price to $1800, I told him we have a contract for $750 and he needs to honor his end or refund my money. It's been a month and he quit answering my calls and texts and still hasn't refunded my money. Avoid this company.

After putting the review, I was refunded my deposit. The owner wanted me to remove the review, but people need to know my experience.

Overall, I had a good experience. Steven Marks was honest, accountable, and kept me informed along the way from NJ to CA. If this was just for him, I would give him 5 stars.

The issue was the driver in NJ (Timo). He was trying to charge more for pounds and items that what was discussed with the Broker. Additionally, he came much earlier than he was supposed to. He also did not have the best attitude.

My car was picked up on 7/17 and I received it on 7/25.

As a company, please vet your drivers and make sure they are not trying to rip people off.

I would recommend not doing business with or using Kathie James of American Auto Haul or American Auto Haul LLC for your moving. This people are dubious. I recently used their services. Kathie James of American Auto Haul gave me a quote of $760 after calling and booking 1 month ahead but someone else called and said they are increasing the charge to $1770 just because I had no other choice, and I was time bound. For your own good, stay away from this people. Thanks!
