"Salesman came to my home i wish i had…"

Salesman came to my home i wish i had never spoke to him. I decided to take the system. SALES REP TOLD ME YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO CANCEL IF NOT HAPPY..i called in 4 days and told them i want to cancel my smoke alarm just goes off all the time for no reason it is now under my kitchen sink i was advised i only had 3 days to cancel not 30 i was so lied to by the salesman its a horrible system and they are not a honest company now they say im in a 3 year contract. Just leaving warning very dishonest lying people DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

"This is the worst company I have ever…"

This is the worst company I have ever had to did with. It has taken 3 and 1/2 HOURS just to get my address changed. Then they said they would give me a month free because of it then they all of a sudden forgot what they told me. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!

"This is a terrible company!"

This is a terrible company!! I’m trying to cancel their service now. They are currently charging me every month, while not providing services to my home! All over a cancellation letter. They’re talking about reporting bad credit. I even fulfilled the contract. They’re still trying to screw me! Don’t do sign with them!!!!

"Givn the run around…"

We have been with this company for over 5 yrs in Alaska. As of late they no longer have technicians who service this area. Our system has been malfunctioning for over 90days and when you call customer service after speaking to 5 agents no one has the correct answers. It's just a bunch of incompetents. Thay have made several promises of crediting our account. I recently asked question to alder why they can't fly techs to this region and the response was silent with no answer to a simple solution. This was the worst contract ever made Alder is unwilling to release us from the contract due to the fact they have no local service. However, they are still collecting our money. I strongly suggest people avoid this company. ALDER ALARM!!!!!

"Would Not Recommend to anyone"

Like most recent reviews, I have not had a good experience with Alder. I do accept the fact I signed a contract for 5 years but my concern and reason for this review is the fact Alder is unable to help customers. It seems that if you try to cancel your services, they point to the contract you signed instead of working for on a resolution that agrees with both parties. Thus leaving you to two choices, pay off early or fulfill your original contract.

What was the final straw is the fact your 5 year contract is set to auto-renew and cannot be turned off unless you call back 15-days before renewal. When I asked the account manager about turning it off now so it doesn't auto-renew on me 2 years later, I was informed she would not do it due to policy. This seems like a suspicious business practices and I warn anyone with a current subscription to keep your eye on when your contract is expired before it renews. Make sure you don't get tricked into another contract auto-mantically without your consent for a new contract when the old one expires if you are planning to leave the service after your original contract is fulfilled.

"Horrible customer service"

Horrible customer service. Our panel has not worked since February. I have called numerous time’s. They always say new panel will be sent out because we will need to pay for a technician along with a long wait for someone to even come out. I been told we would get credit for the months that panel was not connected to the day it was turned back on. They want to give less credit than what they actually took out of my account. Never again would I service with them or refer to anyone. They’re horrible people!!!!!!

"SCAM COMPANY! BEWARE!! If I could give 0 stars I WOULD! THEY ARE CONS!!!!!"

If I could give 0 stars I WOULD!
They are CONS! They try to say “oh it’s an amazing service” when it’s 1) CHEAPLY MADE. 2) SPAZZES OUT AND OR DOESNT WORK. 3) BREAKS RANDOMLY. 4) The sensors and cameras go off randomly ALL DAY EVERY DAY!
They do NOT tell you over the phone that you’re BOUND to a 60 MONTH CONTRACT. And you can NOT “cancel” unless you “pay the remaining contract fee”.
I’ve called them and surprisingly I had a person who spoke FLUENT ENGLISH I was able to talk to, and in short I was told “either pay the remainder or sue us.”
So looks like they’ll be having another lawsuit on their hands.

Oh and they RANDOMLY take out the “payments” monthly and it’s NEVER ON THE SAME DAY.
Quality SUCKS.
SERVICE SUCKS.
And MOST OF ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE!
THEY ARE CONS STAY VERY FAR AWAY!

"THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER…"

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD BUSINESS WITH. For at least 6 mo my system has gone off at least once or twice a week for no reason at all. I would call the comany and they kept telling me that they would send a service tech to check it out. Suprise no one came - no one called. Three months ago I called in and the tech told me that my control board was outdated that I was to unplug it and they would send a tech to install a new one. Suprise no updated control board no service. For the last 6 month or more I have paid my bill with no service that I could depend on. I didn't know if the alarm would go off when it need to or not. I am sure the local police department was sick of getting alarm notices at least once a week if not more. I was not told about a 60 mo contract and as I see it they were in breach of contract for not suppling me a service I was paying for. Their excuse for not sending a repair tech was that they didn't have one in my area. Suprise if you don't have a tech that will service that area don't sell in that area. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
