From the first phone call we were made to feel that we were being listened to. At that time we were asking around various funeral directors to see with whom we should book.It was important that we had a directors that was local to my elderly mother.
We needed a 'chapel of rest' where relatives from Ireland could pray with my late father. It needed to be accessible for people with mobility issues. We needed a catholic service in a church, followed by a commital at a crematorium and then by a lunch in a local venue.
Julie in the office talked us through every stage of the process. She was very knowledgable about all sorts of things that we would have overlooked. She was kind, caring and professional. We were able to call in and be seen on many impromptu visits. Obviously we knew that if there was another family consulting we would have waited.
We had a gathering in the arrangement room and chapel . All of us felt welcomed. Julie also found us a place to eat before the reception into the church that happened the night before the funeral.
My dad's body was treated with respect. The undertakers managed all the journeys seamlessly. We had a lovely funeral service on the day. My Father would have been very pleased with everything.
