"Poor customer service"
Poor customer service. In my recent experience they ignore messages sent off the website - you get an automated acknowledgement but no follow up. I have messaged them twice in the last 6 weeks about my bill and how I am paying it off. All I get are automated emails telling me to do this, do that - simply ignoring my messages.
I called them and had a useful conversation - but all this takes time. Why offer a messaging service if it is ignored?
I read other reviews praising So Energy for offering to return credit balances. Not my experience last year. They were quite happy to hang on to £800 which I used up this winter. Now they chase for a smaller sum, ignore my substantial overpayments, ignore significant decrease in my electricity consumption and ignore my messages.

"A good supplier overall "
I was happy to renew with So Energy but disappointed that a cheaper fixed rate deal was in the pipeline when I was contacted.
This review would be 5* if the company had been proactive in informing me when this became available.
Fortunately I am still in the cooling off period.,

One if the most worst company it’s been 3 months I have been with them and always they overcharged and send average bill and then had to chase them to get the correct bill and their customer service is so poor

"Financial Bullies who will take what ever they want from your DD"
So Energy wrote to say they were going to put my direct debit payment up to £1000 despite already sitting on almost £3000 of my money. I wrote back to say I did not agree to the increase but they took it anyway and told me they would review it in 3 months time. I cancelled the direct debit, they now put a debt marker on my credit references every time they 'think' I owe them money rather than verifying what they are actually owed via meter readings. I'm currently trying to switch providers but they are blocking that until I pay all the money they estimate I ow them. They are Shameful bullies who conduct themselves in a way that beggers belief.
