"So Energy - ignoring requests for credit refunds"
So Energy were the existing supplier when we purchased our property. We looked around and decided to stay with them.
We are paying considerably more each month than the electricity we are using, we are unable to reduce our direct debit (So Energy want to increase it!) and all requests to have credit on the account refunded have been ignored. We have raised a formal complaint which has also been ignored and we are now waiting for the eight week period to conclude to take it to the Ombudsman.
We have £hundreds of credit on the account yet no way of receiving this back - and given we're coming out of winter i.e. typically higher usage, we have asked for a partial refund of the credit. We understand they, nor us, would truly know what our usage would be but it's now clear and their refusal to refund, and ignoring all correspondence, means we'll be looking for a new supplier when our contract ends.
**update following So Energy’s reply**
What a shame it takes writing a review here just to get a reply after two months - they have replied to the complaint so they clearly had it! They have not made steps to resolve it as their reply says, merely said they are looking into it and asked we give them five working days. There is nothing to review or reply to.

So Energy sill continue to ignore my complaint. The energy Ombudsmen have ruled against them and they still do not help. It is advisable that you avoid this company where possible. If you have an issue they will not resolve it. I was actually over charged which was proven and they still do not resolve it.

This is my second negative review for So Energy. I left one on the 10th April about there in ability to pass correct meter reading on to my new supplier. On the 11th I received an email from the person who replied to my pervious TrustPilot feedback saying give me 3 working days to look into it. Not heard anything back. Have the deadlock letter now from them so its in the hands of the Energy Ombudsman. As a company don't promise things you cant deliver.
