"This was my first property tour"
This was my first property tour. I had a relative in Assisted living a few years back so I was a bit apprehensive. The moment I walked in to the Grand Vila I was completely comfortable. The entrance was inviting, the staff very welcoming. The Cafe was a welcome site, very cruise like atmosphere.
Jean is a super representative of the Grand Vila family. She was very informative and had all my questions answered before I asked them. The tour of the facility was amazing. The residents I came in contact with were all super nice. The employees were responsive and polite. Everything was clean and shiny. I know a lot of care goes into keeping it that way.
I really liked the tour. The menus, amazing!
The only down side was there wasn't a place to walk outside. The pool is a nice touch but a walking area would benefit my mom more I think.
However this is not a deal breaker!

"Amazing Guidance & Advise"
When my father had his accident it came completely out of the blue. None of us, my siblings included, were prepared for it. My father’s health was in a crazy tailspin and we had no idea what is recovery would be like. Not to mention he was living in another state. In a time of extreme uncertainty, Joseph’s from a Place For Mom was able to offer guidance, advice and in some cases just a person to talk to. He was able to organize a very disorganized period. It took a ton of weight off of me as doing all this research on my own along with everything else would have been impossible. I highly recommend their service as they are experts and have heard so many stories that they can truly help guide and advise. Not to mention they supplied me with a ton of options against a varying amount of situations. I cannot express the value in having a person like Joseph assist with finding the best solution for your loved one to spend, potentially, the last chapter of their lives to live and flourish.

" Gratitude for Penny!"
I cannot express enough gratitude for Penny and the incredible support she provided in helping me find the perfect assisted living community for my mom. From the very first conversation, she was kind, patient, and deeply knowledgeable, making what felt like an overwhelming process so much easier.
What truly set Penny apart was her dedication—she didn’t just offer recommendations; she personally went with me to visit the assisted living community, ensuring that every question was answered and that I felt confident in my decision. Her compassion and genuine care for my mom’s well-being were evident every step of the way. I couldn’t have done this without her, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone navigating this journey. She is truly a blessing!

"Found the Perfect Place"
I experienced people who seemed to genuinely care & want to help in finding the perfect facility for my mom. They narrowed my search to her specific needs & desires & to the best proximity to me. I was given several choices & was put in touch with someone who could give me a tour of each facility. Mom is now comfortable & happy in her new assisted living facility & we feel confident she is well cared for & loved.

"Excellent experience!"
Our advisor understood our need and criteria. Within a day she scheduled 3 tours for us, did all the leg work to make it possible. She provided additional information and tips to help with the process. We selected a facility within 4 days of contacting her. Super efficient and helpful, her communications were quick and clear, she made the process painless for us, saved us so much time. Thank you!

"Lot of sizzle, little steak"
The initial response was quick, and clarified what was the expectation for our search for mom.
What followed was an agressive push to get my name in front of potential homes for them (the homes) to call me seeking a visit. I'm still working so it was a bit invasive and rather than curb the onslaught, she (APfM) sent another 1/2 dozen names!
Mind you, this was not an immediate need. This was exploratory to get facts, costs, and likely lead time since we were expecting this be 6 - 8 months out.
I did not get accurate cost estimates from APfM. I did not get any community information. I got tied to APgM so that THEY would get the the finder fee if / when we moved mom to a facility.
I finally stopped answering my APfM rep after i told to stop dumping facility names.
Fast forward a month, my mom has a stroke, the need to move is moved to one month, and I get ghosted by the APfM rep. No help. No direction. End up going back to a place thay we had originally passed on due to location being less hiker friendly. (stroke victim is less hiking focused)
I wish that they had established a database for facilities that reflected costs, size, distance, ranking, quality of life options, etc. to help guide the process.
