I was in need of help and I got it . I was sent all the places that fit the criteria I needed to contact. I was helped with scheduling and getting the facilities to send me info needed to make the most informed decisions I could.

I accidentally got connected with A Place for Mom while doing an internet search. If you type the name of almost any senior living facility, A Place for Mom's website pops up at the top, so it's easy to make this mistake if you are distracted. They keep giving out my phone number to different facilities, so I am constantly getting unwanted calls. Their "advisors" continue to call and text me even though I have told them I'm not interested.

I toured a facility that I found on doing my own research. Right after the tour, I got a call from one of the "advisors" from A Place for Mom asking me how the tour went. Creepy! It feels like being stalked. Obviously, there is some type of financial incentive between A Place for Mom and the facilities. It feels very gross.

I have blocked at least two of their numbers. I also called the number listed on the website and the person who answered kept trying to ask me questions even though I clearly stated multiple times that I wanted all of my information removed from their list and did not want to be contacted again. I just got another text from them asking me to give feedback about a facility that I have never toured that is not even in the same state!

People do not want to be harassed while they are dealing with the stress and grief of finding care for an aging parent. This feels like a predatory scam.

Representative was great. She provided just the right recommendations and then followed up to see that the facilities responded to us. After we reviewed the facilities, she again checked with us to see how we were treated and to ensure that the facilities were what we were looking for.

The staff was at their best - Zack was at the table with suggestions - very friendly - Daisy included. I can't wait until I get moved in. In about two weeks I should have things together to begin paying rent.

My advocate really helped me the process of finding help for my husband with Dementia. She was instrumental in guiding me in the process and finding the best place for him.

Michelle was there right away and helped me through everything. I was lost and did not know what to do or where to look for help. She jumped right in and answered my questions and basically “held my hand” through it all.

In the midst of a rather stressful situation, A Place for Mom offered solace and solutions as I frantically searched for the best memory care facility to care for my Dad.
From reviewing the input I provided for Dad’s needs, I was provided with 3 facilities. If none of these had worked, APFM was ready to provide more resources. Two out of the three facilities were fantastic matches for Dad.
A Place for Mom made my appointments for me and canceled the ones I had made that weren’t the best match. When you’re in a stressful situation, this service is invaluable.
I am truly grateful for the help, support, and understanding I received. Whomever had the brilliant idea to start a Place for Mom is my hero.
