My councilor, Debbie, elicited my needs (including what kind of care I needed) and wants, and, most importantly, what I could and couldn't afford. She made it easy to research each recommendation, then the A Place For Mom website made it very easy to set up appointments to visit the places that appealed to me. In the end, I was very happy to lease an apartment at one of her strongly recommended sites for independent living. The apartment itself is spacious, the food is fabulous, and there are many activities to choose to participate in. And, the staff and the residents I have met are lovely! Debbie's communications, including followups, were spot on and much appreciated 🤗
